Back then, Halloween was about traditions and creativity. Now, it's about money and showing off.

Back then you were a kid and viewed things with a sense of wonder. Now you're grown and are more disillusioned. It's always been about money, these commercials prove that.

Yes, because it used to be about kids. Now it a bunch of adult parties and over the top decorations. It’s all about the money that can be made.

Seeing Fred the Baker from Dunkin Donuts really makes me sad. Dunkin Donuts has changed drastically since the 80s and 90s. Their product just isn't the same. It's really gone downhill. Does anyone remember in the 90s when they brewed fresh hazelnut coffee daily? I do. Nowadays it's a shot of flavored syrup in your coffee if you ask for it. Yuck! Just doesn't taste the same. Also they used to have buttermilk donuts that were delicious. Sadly they've been discontinued. Dunkin Donuts is all corporate now. I miss the old 'Time To Make The Donuts' era of the 80s and 90s.

Given that the only cases of candy being tampered with led back to the parents poisoning their own kids I'd say it's pretty safe to take them from neighbors. Media really sensationalized the hell out of the very few, handful, of cases and rarely followed up to say the parents did it
