@@BlackCountryPikeroohh it sounds really sad... Is that mean that fishing in UK getting really worse? My memories about UK since I was living there were as it was a small fishing paradise regarding spinning for pike. Few months ago I arrived in my mother land and still can't catch even one. Here situation is also getting worse and worse. It's really terrible especially compared to my time at UK... 😢

@@ДаниелЧоновthere’s definitely more pressure on predator fishing these days but some of the venues are just dumping grounds. @BlackCountryPiker7 күн бұрын
Yes mate I know 🤦♂️ you are right the weir is in the background, the section I’m on is on the inside of an island which is why it looks so narrow. The line was around my quick link and not the fish so may have come out from a tree branch.

@@BlackCountryPiker Very well, thanks. I have been a bit quiet lately with the weather being cold and wet, but been amusing myself playing with my aquariums instead of fishing. Nice vid mate. Looking to give it a gew myself in a likkle river not far out the black country. Could you give me a bit of advice please mate is it worth using a trace wire with normal line like with pike? Cheers
@BlackCountryPiker11 күн бұрын
Thanks Stuart, personally I always use a wire trace and would never fish mono straight through. You’re pretty much guaranteed to get bitten off. There is an alternative of fluro as well, different strengths depending on if you are fishing for pike or perch. I try to match the strength of wire trace to that of my braid. Also try and get something that is 18-20 inches long and not the cheap short green ones 👍

@stuartparkes6791 high Stuart, I’m not sure why but it showed this comment to one of my pike videos and not a trout one as it shows me now, sorry. For trout I’m not too fussed using a trace unless there were pike present. I use 6lb braid as you can feel everything. Monk can be a bit too stretchy
