I'm installing mines now and I'm wondering how it's been working for you at the spot between the PCV and manifold? I had the same thought about it working better there instead of the near the valve cover and air intake.

The wires? I ran it through a small hole in the fire wall behind the battery box.

It’s a EGT sensor bung so you can see how hot your exhaust gases in your manifold are getting and shut it down if it’s to hot etc, good for data logging etc

I was thinking about getting the T3 XS manifold. Is the location exactly in the same space as the OE?

roughly it is. My XS manifold lowered the turbo about .5 of an inch. So, I had to order an aftermarket oil return line.

Pros and cons of egr delete on the speed?

Pro: Cleaner burn for the engine. You won't have all the pre brunt exhaust gasses cycling back thru the system. Cons: Check engine light is always on for the egr code. It also won't pass emission in certain states.

Once the EGR control module has been removed do you put a plug in the end of the electrical connector going to EGR to complete the circuit? Some videos I've seen the check engine comes on because the ECU is saying there's a problem , or do you just re flash the ECU sort of thing

I used the stock k04 on this setup. The stock oil return line would not bolt back up. The manifold dropped it about 1/4 inch. I plan on upgrading the turbo down the road.

Great content. I’m just curious, without a turbo, how much oil actually makes it into the catch can? I would think it’s negligible, but I wouldn’t know, and I would guess that by now, enough time has elapsed for you to give better info on that.

You are probably right that without the turbo this mod is not necessary. But in my opinion if I can catch any blow by is always good. I don't have the rsx anymore. So its hard saying how much it helped. The Mazda speed 3 defiantly needs one I have so much blow by.

I'm not associated with that company. I got these leds off amazon. But if I would have to guess you will need 12v power source. You should try looking up that company and try contacting them for instructions on the kit you have.
