This sounds ‘new AF’ because every rapper and rock band in the US (and frankly the world over) was influenced by Linkin Park. In the End, Crawling, Faint, Breaking the Habit, Numb, even the singles off Minutes to Midnight, were inescapable in the 2000s. If you consumed popular music in that time, you heard Linkin Park. If you read their lyrics, odds are pretty good that this band might have saved your life. Linkin Park is the most important band of the 21st century and I’m tired of people acting like that isn’t the case.
