also read somewhere that Heretic Anthem is written as an anti mainstream music, esp against the label producers who want them to write songs that are general public consumable. also that 555 would then mean the 9 to 5ers. and yes that the masks and outfits were meant to make the attention focused on music and not who sings, or plays, or whatever.

I always interpreted "If you're 555 than I'm 666" meaning if you're fake (as in every fake phone number in movies and tv starts with 555), than I'm the anti of whatever you are.
