Omg 😱 you’ve got loads of glassware from around the 1930s-1950s! I’ve got a China cabinet full of Fostoria, and boxes of Depression glass green, pink…oh lordie be 😳 it’s pretty but as a collector I’m screeching at the E 6000!

I’ve made these too. I put a small amount of hot glue for a fast hold and a good amount of E5000 for the super hold. It’s getting harder to find the glassware in my area. You did a beautiful job.

It doesn't have to be glass I've used regular dishes and then painted the tree ;)

To pack this, find a box that’s big enough, then fill the bottom half with expanding foam, put down a garbage bag, and set the tree inside. Let the foam expand to fit the tree. Let it cure completely, then use another bag and fill the top half of the box. It takes several pairs of hands, and some fiddling to get it right, but at the end you’ll have a custom storage box for your artwork. There are tutorials on how to do it online.

All of those pieces are beautiful and still usable and they are vintage pieces. Gluing is fine,,,no harm but to destroy them by drilling holes or cutting in half unless they are unusable is sad. Your tree did end up gorgeous! ♥️👍🏻🎄

I have some of the same she used and they were my Mother's and my Grandmother's (and I'm in my 70's now)...so they are very old. I used them for years for parties and now use them for myself for summer salads, soaps, jewelry, etc.. I think they're still beautiful.

Thank you for this video.I have visiting Trift stores after I had dropped of my children in school. All over town and towns not far from my city.I bought those items and never have use some of them, when I moved from the Netherlands I cry for leaving all behind, but GOD was kind to make me find those things I left behind. Most of the time, I'm use those dishes for candles, holders, and flower decorations. But this is unique. The Christmas trees. This will be nice if you have all those glassware on a table with Christmas light between. The light in the room will look brighter and more romantic. Thanks for showing your feminine creativity. GOD Bless you with this Christmas and blessed 2025.
Interesting concept and quite stunning as a piece of art. However, to my eye, this looks nothing like a Christmas tree.

Beware, E6000, doesnt hold forever. I used it with my depression glass candle holders. I had a plate and holder for a cakeplate, and candle holder and bowl for center piece. I put them in hot water to wash them and they came apart. I re-glued them, and they still came apart. Good luck. I still love the udea.

I have all my stuff to make one already, just haven't done it yet. I have made quite a few of the flowers made from glassware and dishes. E6000 works fine but is really very runny and doesn't set up quickly. If you turn the items upside down so the glue runs down onto the top piece it will hold better. I usually use JB Weld clear two part epoxy because it sets up quickly and holds just as well as E6000. Addicting project isn't it. Now I want to get mine done. My Little Slice of Paradise does some really pretty stuff also. Have fun.

I have started a tree but put it aside because I want to put together glassware to make a candleholder. Its almost done and it is really pretty. Same basic idea as a tree but with an upturned bowl at the top to put a fat, chunky candle in. Its going to a friend who loves diy projects. Your tree is gorgeous!
