Whats the most curly knit fabric? Even when it's sewn together. I'm looking for a knit that miss behaves staying flat (its this property of the fabric that I want to use to my advantage) but I mostly work with wovens, and I'd love a few recommendations.

@@Michellerosecusack I’d try a thin knit. I went through my stash and didn’t find anything that really met the criteria you are looking for, but a thin knit would curl more than a thick

That is helpful -- thanks! A question, and sorry if I missed it, but does the direction of the stretch when sewing on knits? If so, what are some of the best ways to think about putting different pieces together?

I'm not sure what you're asking. All knits have crossways (horizontal) stretch but it is important to have the crossways stretch (selvedge to selvedge) going sideways around the body for the greatest comfort. Knit patterns may be too tight if the crossways stretch runs vertically on the garment. Many knits don't stretch much vertically. 4-way (or vertical AND horizontal stretch) is less common, and needed for swimwear, yoga pants, leotards, and other close-fitting items designed for movement. So yes, the direction you orient your pattern pieces is important. HTH!

@@anirabunbury4940 the stretch should always go around your body. Normally, this is selvage to selvage, so if using pattern pieces, the grainline arrow should be parallel to the selvage. When sewing seams together, I have found that it does not matter in which direction you sew. Just don’t pull on your fabric as you sew or you will probably end up with a wavy seams.

@@carriemeaway9837 thanks! I've only ever sewn with woven, and only occasionally so I'm looking forward to widening my repertoire and being able to upcycle some of my older stuff.
