I have all the Sony box sets. Been collecting them since they first started dropping around 2004, but I had to get the Mill Creeks box set because not only did Sony cheep out on the theme song, but they also used edited for tv syndicated versions for some of the episodes which have MAJOR edits in some episodes.

Are the episodes listed on the individual discs, at least?

It actually makes sense that season 4 would be split between the 2 cases. Because the show ran for 9 seasons, and those 9 seasons were put into 2 cases. And since 9÷2=4.5 it makes sense if you're splitting them evenly. Now they could've added in an extra disc of bonus material (looks like they didn't, but they appear to have thrown in a few bonus features) and then possibly the second case would've began with season 5.

If I'm being honest, this looks vomitrocious. They put so much more effort into the beautiful DVD set that came out in 2007 that looked like Doug's delivery truck. I hate that companies no longer put any effort into presentation anymore. All they care about is streaming. And the back of the cases at 7:25 is just hideous. It looks like something made in microsoft paint.

Please please please let me know which Colored Episodes are present/not present! I love their colorized editions and was curious if I could keep or get rid of it. And sounds like I may need to keep up with it

I do plan on buying Young Sheldon Bluray when the price drops down maybe on Black Friday Amazon will have a sale on it

My set is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, I was really excited about getting I Love Lucy on Blu-ray until I seen that horrible packaging, both Gomer Pyle and Hogan's heroes were both recently released on Blu-ray and they didn't have this type of packaging, it really is a shame that they ruined the set the way they did.

You kind of hinted at what to do with your old dvds earlier in your video. You mentioned how great the packages were, nice and embossed, with great artwork. There's your answer. Keep them as mementos of when dvds had the great packaging with all the bells and whistles. The art was different on disc. They don't make the packages like they used too, with all the bells and whistles.

Hello, I have a question Does this include a spanish audio track? I can't find videos or images of the back cover or the menus to find out before buying

Oh I forgot to mention I have the same DVD sets you have, but what i did was backed them up on my harddrive so I could watch them on the computer. But I'm glad the blurays came out and I'm getting them as to what to do with your old DVDs I guess you could keep the cases as a collectors momento. As for the discs? Either throw them away or use them for drink coasters. LOL

Personally I have never once experienced this 'disk rot' fear tactic in DVD's, HDDVD.. YES but never DVD. Remember when DVD's first started coming out? When the internet was in it's infancy everyone and their 2nd cousins brother told all of us to get rid of your VHS tapes because magnetic tapes demagnetize over time and your collection is going to be rendered inert. Nonsense! Do you know to this day the federal government of the united states of America still stores documents on magnetic tape. Now do I want to go back to watching VHS? Heck no, but they still work and play to this day depending on how they were used and cared for. I own a handful of music cassette tapes that play just as good as they did day one on my audiophile Tascam deck. If this disk rot is real and one day more than half of my Warner Bros DVD collection goes to pot so be it, I can stream most of it but I'm not going into debt to hang on to physical copy media in 2024 and beyond.

Have you taken the Dvds to a disc repaire store.

Luckily all my original DVDs worked and i sold them on ebay and then bought the Blu-ray boxed set off of Amazon

Why does it come out of the box the way they do with the discs on them

I believe blue rays have better quality control than Dvd's. So, hopefully, disk rot won't be an issue. As fir the old sets, keep them for the cover art or toss them.

Finally someone has shown what the blurays and inside of the case looks like instead of just showing the cover. The disc rot that you mentioned occurs mostly with the first edition sets of Warner/DC titles (Super Friends, Filmation Super Heroes etc) that come in carboard packaging. The re-issued 2nd edition sets (released in 2018) the come in standard black dvd case don't seem to have that problem and play all the episodes fine. I would love to have one case for the whole series but I've already bought the seasons I want that were reissued in the black cases and love the practicality of those cases as opposed to that awful disc holder where discs lay on top of each other. Anyways, thanks again for showing the product in depth and mentioning the disc rot issue which some of us have already experienced.

It is sad that Marvel and Disney doesn't do this type of collections with their animated series.

They are missing one episode the super friends Jokers Playhouse witch was only available in the imagined toys, I just ordered a copy of eBay (going for about $9 now) to put in my blu ray set

I remember there was a HD upscale streaming on max before it was removed that looked clean but knowing this is a remaster I can't wait to reviset it

Also the most of the dvd sets com from that 1 notorious factory that produced a most of the disc having the “disc rot” problem, my Flash dvd set was suffering with that and I was looking to purchase a newer copy with the thinner case when the blu ray was announced 😊so I ordered as soon as preorder became available, and they did connect this Flash to the newer Flash threw the multiverse with the 2 Flashes actually meeting each other
