I dont get it. Will i be able to play new world auternum (the base game, because i dont own the expansion on pc) on xbox when its released, because i already own the base new world game on steam pc. Will i have to buy auternum on xbox to play? Or will it be free for me because i already own the base game on steam.

Hi mate, im returning to NW I played only on bêta and in the release for 1 month only, im playing with flair and Life staff for tank support build I would like to know why you dont use shield in the build.

I played on launch and haven't played since 2022. I plan though to start playing again on PC on the fresh start servers when the console release hits in October. It's going to be cool to see a new playerbase hitting the game and a launch always has an enjoyable energetic buzz to it. I only played the original MSQ experience up to about level 35 initially so I haven't seen any form of revamped experience nor have I ever even seen endgame. Most of my friends had the same quit moment when the game slowed down after about level 30. I think that the majority of players were lost in the post-level 30 slowdown more than actually ever reached endgame, so the lack of endgame content criticisms really miss the point of what the majority of players loved and what drove them away, even if endgame content is needed to retain them. As for myself, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, visuals, music, and sound design, and I know a lot of others felt the same. Hopefully they really step up the marketing and get a lot of people returning and starting for the first time. At the very least the first 100 hours of exploration and gathering are magical.

if youre going with bleed dots wouldnt empower build do more? or maybe the speedy sandels, 10% base dmg increase while hasted and u can still use empower. with natures wrath ur elemental dmg gets boosted from runeglass etc however bleed is limited to the 20% from natures only. Since you built for nature tho how about venom spear with coup perk on? ive got this build and doing 2k ticks ona dummy hitting coup and skewer, works really well for me :D(i use shirking empower and if im brawling im having 100% uptime for 30% empower) playing as assasin itll take a couple dodges to come online but its useful when fighting against medium+heavy users. I also overcap empower a bit with my build since a lot of medium spear players use perf and skewer weaken so it works as a counter to it. i find with natures wrath as soon as you get weakened the whole strenght of the piece is quite negated, yeah u can dodge and kite ppl but as soon as someones using a flail on the enemy youre kinda forced into it. I also thought, instead of max upgrading skewer, you could get the perk that increases debuff durations one a crit then you can afford the 5% crit on light upgrade then :)

I can hear the PC community crying, but the console world have been waiting for a title like this for over ten years

It's funny to think that there are so many people trashing the game who haven't even clocked 500 hours. They complain about the lack of endgame content (which, yeah, is true), but they don't even have a 700 gear score set, haven't maxed out a profession, or cleared high-level mutations, etc., etc. There's a lot of hate coming at the game for no reason from people who never really gave it a shot-they're just hating for the sake of hating. This game is amazing, and I can't wait for October 15th to jump back in. Right now, it feels pointless to keep grinding since the real tryharding will start in October, so it's time to kick back and patiently wait for this awesome game that’s given me so many hours of fun

I run musket. I got musket that is flame attuned. If insert fire damage conversion , does it stack properly ?

Agreed. This has been a view so far. I dont understand the point of putting out so much hate to try and scare new players away when the game will be "better". I put 2k hours into the worse version, im sure we can get some new players in that will allow the devs to keep going

war mode will be the changing point, if scott is right and the game plays a lot better that would be big for pc players. But yeah where is our pvp he marketed for 2 years to us. Some small crappy island won't do it.

i still think the console release will be quite buggy, possibly 2021 levels of scuffed. going to be fun either way, if it comes out good then great if not the meltdown will be entertaining too

I appreciate your optimism. My big concern is that most console players were not raised in the MMO period and are all first person shooters. I am not sure they will get the bang for their buck on console.

The criticism is directly proportional to the love we feel for the game. No one is disappointed this badly and loudly for a game they do not care for. I appreciate your positive attitude, but it comes off a tad naive. In five months, post console, they will be in exactly the same place. The console launch is necessary, but fixing the root cause issues that lead the game to lose hundreds of thousands of players should have been their priority. I really, really, hope you are right and that I am wrong on this one.

As someone who played for a month when the game came out and haven't touched it since then the updates sound pretty solid for the longevity of the game. New World has been slowly dying and this may be the only way to revive it, bring new players, and new revenue.

Dude - I hope your positivity is infectious. Between having the console port behind us and them opening a new studio means a lot of potential.

Ive never played NW. Is the world really this empty??? I play albion and you can't do anything without seeing other people and dealing with gankers. How active of a player base does NW have?
