Very interesting! I have never heard kf the C.A.R system before. I think i understand that this works when you have hardened walls. How might you approach this differently with soft walls? i.e drywall...etc
@LTVoyagerКүн бұрын
It is often hard to be sure that the perpetrator doesn’t have a hostage with them as a shield or to know what is behind the wall behind the perpetrator. Shooting blind is highly risky in most scenarios. I was waiting for you to throw something into the room to draw the perpetrators attention to that moving object and give you time to “slice the pie” and get off a shot and then retreat behind cover to assess the effectiveness of that first shot. Or, depending on the circumstances, you can just go all in and keep shooting and hope to disable the perpetrator before they can land a shot on you.

Unless the bad guy is *already* in between you and your children, cede the position and call the cops (while you fortify and wait in an easy to defend bottleneck). YOU should be the one sitting in ambush in your house, you shouldn't be trying to clear it. (imo)

Elevation change (crouching) is risky though, since it limits your movement and exposes your head to shots fired from a lowering gun (bad guy after being hit).
@bzacademy-poland3 күн бұрын
All CQB is very risky, especially if you do it on your own. To minimize the risk of getting hit I did it dynamically, and got back to cover quickly after taking the threat down. This part in this particular case was successful, but it does not mean it will be successful always.

I think as a civilian, the best less risky situation would be to lock down the room and wait for police. As police use a flash bang or stinger. Try to do everything to reduce risk
@bzacademy-poland3 күн бұрын
Yes correct, and I talk about it at the very beginning of this video. However in the scenario when you wait for the cops to arrive, being armed, and having your family being assaulted in the other part of the house, you may have to make a decision to get involved.
@angel-ry9mb4 күн бұрын
It seems sensible to shoot blind in this scenario. Close to the wall and reach just the hand around the wall either way up high or almost at the floor since you know where he is already and its almost point blank.

Face as close to the wall and use third person to peek at your enemies and do the peek and weave back and forts. If the enemy pushes you your options are slide jump the hell out of there or bunny hop while shooting.

tip by 10+years sweaty gamer: prefire without exposing yourself like 5:53 or just shot through wall, you can't NEVER! never able to shot the camper first with your reaction time and not getting hurt TOO, it's called defender advantage. this is not video game, these no latency when peeking corner, they always see first and hear first, that's why flash grenade exist in real life. all the other CQB tecs is just about reaction time, but do you want to use these tecs in a real gun fight and risk with your reaction time? remember your shot doesn't instantly kill him unless you waste time aiming for the head
@bzacademy-poland3 күн бұрын
Games are games, some stuff may be relevant to the reality, some not really. As you can see I managed on two occasions to hit the "camper" first, and not get shot. So NEVER say NEVER:) In reality there is much more to the equation then just an algorithm written by the game developer.

@@bzacademy-poland i know, i'm just advising people don't gamble this when they have the advantage, because three things could happen when peeking with head, you get shot, both get shot, or you shoot him :<

@Nipah.Auauau7 күн бұрын
To mitigate the blind-fire issue from zero exposure, you could just peek the corner real quick. If done quick enough both of you will see each other but not have enough time to shoot, and exposing yourself just enough to see is a much smaller target than exposing enough to see + shoot.
@bzacademy-poland6 күн бұрын
Sure, but why would I do that in this particular scenario where a the beginning we agreed that we know that the threat is in the corner? It would be good to discover unknown area when we don't know what is in the corners.
@benjago92827 күн бұрын
What i've learned from video games, is that the farther away you are from a corner, the easier it is to see an enemy without them seeing you. But this only happens with extended body parts like arms or legs.
@bzacademy-poland6 күн бұрын
You see. You can learn from video games too. This is correct, the longer distance from the cover/corner you have the better field of view you have, and more time and space for reaction. What was that, COD?
@benjago92826 күн бұрын
@bzacademy-poland the game is called CSGO or CS2, but yeah i do think you can learn import skills from games wether you realize it or not.

Ive seen a couple of people do the running on force on force and not get hit because they hit the actor really fast and a lot of times (I did it once without getting hit) so I guess that it depends on whether you hit the shots or not. The actor got hit once out of 3 or 4 shots fired
@bzacademy-poland6 күн бұрын
In this particular scenario if you watch closely, I fired first , but I missed due to threat lowering the level. If he stayed standing as on the first go, that techniques would work on my favor. This shows, how dangerous, and unpredictable CQB is.

It's a gamble with bad odds in the end as the one " defending " always has the advantage if he knows you're coming, my first thought seeing the thumbnail was that the guy defending the corner would be the most likely to use the elevation change to throw off your attack, and you can't just go paper rock scissor on every corner. Best thing to do imo is to get in cover where you have a good view on the exits, then it's a waiting game until the intruder decides to gtfo because he's stuck
@bzacademy-poland6 күн бұрын
Yes, it's a gamble, and the results are unpredictable. However, we believe that training and testing help bring the odds in your favour. In the scenario you are talking about, I see two skilled guys fighting for the corner. We assume that the skilled guy clears the corner, and a regular perpetrator who invaded your house hides in the corner. I don't think that they have trained much in this subject. Getting into the cover and waiting is the best thing to do, and we talk about it at the very beginning of the video, but if we do that there would be a very boring video to watch. Stay safe.
@koltes39308 күн бұрын
All situations are different. You just said that the bad guy knew you were coming. Does it means that you didnt know he was there? If so then before pulling the trigger you first MUST identify the target. Cant just blind fire around the corners if this is not some sort of airsoft game but a real life situation. There could be innocent people hiding there from that same bad guy. So if you suspect that the bad guy is somewhere in the area but you are not 100% sure he is behind that particular cover, then you are in a great disadvantage. Usually teams are sent to deal with this or support weapons used (flash, smoke etc). Another great option is high lumen power impulse torch. Not only it blinds, it also destructs. Throwing bricks into the corner or something heavy can flash him out and make him move and expose himself. Use something as a shield. Even if its a timber plant. Go low and peak from the lower lever of the plank. His mind will be focused on the upper level of the plank. If you DO know he is 100% there in that corner (you were told or you eye witnessed your self) then the situation is completely the opposite. You are in total control. Yes he knows you are coming, but doesnt know when or how you are going to approach the situation. You know he is there, you know the time of attack and the attacking plan in place. If you absolutely have to do it on your own then best source of protection is destruction. Brain can only comprehend one thing at the time. It switches very quickly though. But by switching it starts shutting down. So if you create one distraction it might work, might not work. If you create on that is immediately followed by another is much much better. Then your appearance will be the first thing they need to deal with and their reaction time will be greatly reduced. For example: you know the bad guy is around the corner. You yell: - Fire in the hole! (most people know this is a warning that is followed by a grenade) This is the first distraction. Then you immediately throw something on the floor around the corner in front of him. This is the second distraction. He was still processing the first one. Then he has to process the second. His mind, his eyes and his ears are all on that rock in that second. Then you lean around the corner following immediately the rock when it hits the ground and shoot two in the body follow up in the head.
@bzacademy-poland6 күн бұрын
The situation was explained at the beginning of the video. We both know. So I would no worry about innocent people in the corner. Have a look at the set up, and try to guess how many innocent people could be together with the threat in this small space. I also do not worry about bullet penetration, as we have what we have - super thick brick walls. With the rest of your comment I totally agree. Next time we will try the tactic with throwing the object, for distraction, and see what happens. Flashlight is also great idea, but the question is would you always have with you?
