Just bought a 260 twin vee. Have not picked it up yet. I will next week. Going from a smaller cc. I can't wait to take it fishing

The early Parkers are basically old Mako molds, aren't they?

I don’t care i never used the bow to fish anyways. Got a dual console instead for extra shade and element protection.

About those seabass.... Monty Hawkins that runs the morningstar out of OCMD has alot of information on just how far off the NAMSFC is on their stats.

I like Parkers but no in floor fishbox? Hard pass. The latest trend of larger loungers in front of the console solved the problem of no front seating for my wife.

Hey new to fishing, but what should I be looking for when I try to set up a drift? Current direction and wind? I’m fishing off a jetski in the bay just off of Newport
@jiggingjerks21 сағат бұрын
Absolutely. You want to drift with current. Sometimes wind is behind you, in front of you or beam too. On my boat, a trolling motor helps with bad wind conditions. I'd imagine on a jet ski, you can point into the wind to slow you down (wind with current) or speed you up (wind against)

Awesome boat! I’m curious why did he buy the Seavee if he already had the Parker? Seems redundant is there anything about the Parker’s ride that may have caused him to get a deeper deadrise of the seavee

Forward seating sucks on a fishing boat I agree. instant deal breaker.
@jamesps7515Күн бұрын
I have a 27 Cape Horn with forward seating. All the fishing happens on the side by the helm and the back of the boat. I don’t fish more than 5 people and it’s way more than enough space. No one tripping, no tangling, and my girl is happy when she has a good spot to sit away from the fishing. Happy wife happy life, she loves the ocean so really had no choice. No seating in a boat fucking sucks when coming in from 70-100 miles offshore. People bring beanbags but then need to store them when they stop and start fishing. There’s plenty of benefits from forward seating and a couple of bad thing. I prefer the seating since I don’t use the front of my boat. I never use my anchor so it’s not a problem.

awesome video! Question when do you set the hook is there a specific time you wait or instantly? I went out the other day and caught about 7 but I seem to have missed a ton of fish, I am pretty much trying to set the hook once I feel a bite. Are you editing out your misses or am I just that terrible? Thanks

That is the C-130 of the AIR RESCUE WING from Gabreski Air Base in Westhampton Beach NY. I’ve seen them many times when fishing Eastern LI, as they are often training. One day fishing South of Montauk we saw them drop an inflatable skiff out of the back and into the water. It was really cool to watch. At times the have helicopters training with them too.

in 2024 60 bucks is a reasonable price for a solid morning or afternoon of fishing. if someone supplies the gulp, rods, line, etc it's really not a bad deal for someone who is getting into the sport, if you want to introduce the sport to a kid, etc. light tackle groundfishing at the right age window can change a kid's life. i was paying 15 bucks for a box of sea worms to start the season. between worms and dog daycare for the day my kayak trips cost me 40+ bucks now... shit's just getting expensive.
