I thought I would play a bit of the video and go on to something more interesting ... but I was hooked. I watched intently until you were finished. I haven`t started to do any embroidery yet. I need to look at some basics to see how to know what each stitch means. I have a lot to learn and can`t wait to get started. I want to see all the bugs first, though. Thank you.

Thank you soooo much for your quick but thorough explanation. This is more than enough to get started without being overwhelming, (or taking 7 minutes to preface a 30 second tutorial that leaves a person with more questions than answers!).

So beautiful but shaky camera work. I guess you sped it up? It's hard to watch for my old eyes and slowing it down is painfully slooooow.

Thank you for the quick tutorial. I feel like there are way too many tutorial videos that take way too long to get to the point, so I really appreciate this video.

First time I've seen your work. I love the idea of this butterfly❤. But I struggle with cutting the wings out without clipping threads that I don't want to. Or cutting it too far away and the fabric still shows.
@StitchGothica3 ай бұрын
The edge of the fabric will always show a little but there are a few things you can do to minimise it. If you can, use a fabric that matches the thread you cover the wire with, if you can’t or you have different colors around the edge you can sneaky use felt tip pens to color the edge (test on some scrap first!). Lastly once you’ve cut the edge you can run a fingernail over it to fluff up and tease out any extra bits of thread and trim those. Also if you’re using buttonhole stitch as I am (some people use couching stitch for the whole thing) it creates a sort of edge or lip that sticks out and you can turn the wing upside down and angle your scissors and trim the fabric to just underneath it so it doesn’t show so much from the top.

Wow so much talent! Is there any special reason you saved the turkey stitch for last?

I'd save for last bc it might get caught on other stitches

The herringbone is a difficult stitch. You move a bit too fast, or I'm a bit too slow. Is there a way to slowly show how to do this?
@robinaanstey37345 ай бұрын
Go to the settings located on the task bar and click on playback speed. You can select the slowest at .25 to see how the stitches are done. Cheers!

Awesome I hope you like all the bugs 🥰 it's a calico but it's much easier to stitch on quilters cotton, I use 'Kona cotton solids' they come in every colour you can think of and the weave is tighter than calico so the embroidery comes out much nicer in my opinion.
