Nice! Looks good and should fix the issue. Have you checked the bolts since install to see if they are all still tight? I'm curious about whether you should have used some blue lock-tite on all the bolts, along with torque specs on the 2 diff bolts? I'm not much of a mechanic, so this is mostly just a question more than a suggestion. When I put my skid plates on I had one guy ask me about those same two things, which I appreciated because I completely over looked them. Good job on the video.
@blaze_atv18 күн бұрын
Thanks! I have not checked them since install. Probably a good idea before next ride!! Lock-tite is a great recommendation!

Ive been using a black version of the long haul. Think i lucked out, its pretty solid no leaks atall. Only thing ive done to it was chop the spout down have way. I've had it bouncing around in my back storage box with no issues, and had it pack a bunch of pressure in the summer heat and no leaks.
@blaze_atv3 ай бұрын
Great to hear!! Thanks!! I plan on filling it with water for the first few rides just to test it out.

I don't have any personal experience with the Amazon "Rotopax" knock offs, but I have heard a few brands the lid will leak, mounted horizontally. They are fine if mounted vertical, but I understand that's not always practical. Again, no personal experience here... but I've been interested in these for awhile now. Looking forwards to seeing your review with liquid inside, see how it holds up for you.

I am a little concerned for storing fuel so I always buy those expensive cans from sellers.
@blaze_atv3 ай бұрын
I get that. This thing seems pretty tough though and I have found that half the time, the same quality comes from non-name brand things. That being said, I plan on filling this with water for the first several rides before filling it with gasoline, just to test and be safe.
@ArcticExploring3 ай бұрын
@@blaze_atv That is a good idea. But also remember that the plastic can me different quality than the plastic they use for cans ment for fuel. Just like plastic soda bottles is not ment for stronger luquid than soda. But I think it will hold up.

They are a bit heavier but the only time you really notice it is at high speeds and it just feels like the tires are trying to drive you a bit more. Nothing crazy.
