Welcome back for Day 2 (Part 2) of Cabwaylingo.
This video includes the second half of our 2nd day at Cabwaylingo.
Featured machines:
Blaze - 2021 Yamaha Grizzly EPS
"The Old Man" - 2017 Yamaha Kodiak 700 SE
We hit the following trails:
50 - Blue
52 - Blue
88 - Black
85 - Black
20 - Green
25 - Green
74 - Black
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cabwaylingo. It may seem “out of the way” when you look at it compared to other Hatfield McCoy Trail systems but it is well worth the trip.

I would have done those black trails on my atv but... at least you tried and that's how you get better and learn your limits. To many people just don't try at all and never learn more. I was the same when I started and learn as I went... great ride guys!!

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunate part is the cameras never do the inclines/ruts the justice. Much worse than it looks on video. But, some things just aren’t worth the risk. Lol. I know my limits.

Going back to an older video, I thought I had watched this but realize this is part 2. Another great right, looks like some decent trails. I'd be ripping those black trails, love a challenge!

Yeah most of the blacks trails here were pretty fun. A couple were a bit too crazy for us though! You mess up just a bit and you are rolling wayyyy down.

@Blaze ATV Oh for sure...there was a few I could tell were quite challenging and at the 9 minute mark there I probably wouldn't have attempted it either. At some point you just need to say no it's not worth it. Daddy needs to come home tonight, haha. Thanks for sharing buddy.

Nice run guys, yeah you never know what you’re going to run into on those black trails. Thanks for recording both all‘s voice. Makes the video much more enjoyable to watch. 130 miles for two days good run.

Thanks KC! Agreed on the black trails. Sometimes they really aren’t that bad, sometimes they are instant turn-arounds. It took me a few videos to get all of the voices working but I was able to do it thanks to your videos. So thanks! Thanks for tuning in. Ride on!

Hmm, so probably not two full days of riding to be had there? Maybe I'll try to do this and pinnacle next trip.

There is a lot of terrain that we did quickly. I would spend a weekend at Cabwaylingo. The issue with doing it along with another HMT system is that it is so far from the rest. Have you done Pinnacle before? I see you were down in War/Welch. I have ridden from War to Pineville a couple of times. If I was to pair another system with Cabwaylingo, it would be either Ivy Branch or Bearwallow. You practically pass right by both of those on the way to Canwaylingo from up here.

@blaze_atv Very good point. I was also thinking maybe pair it with Mountain Ridge on the way back. I've done Worrior, Buffalo Mt, Devil Anse and Rock House so far. I was supposed to do Pinnacle when I did worrior, but snapped a clutch cable on my old LTZ400 which took an extra day to fix and made me miss it.

@@ColoradoDualSport Ahh. Bummer about the clutch cable! I would think Mt. Ridge would actually be quite out of the way since that is quite a ways east of here, not south. Have you done Mt. Ridge before? What about Rock Run?

@@blaze_atv I haven't done either, but have watched your videos and want to check them out. What is the cabin situation like at Rock Run? I did recently buy a truck tent and bed air mattress, so that is an option as well.

@@ColoradoDualSport Cabins are nice. Very primitive though. No kitchen, etc. just a place to sleep with lights. For the price, you’d be better off in your tent I’d think.

Fodsports FX4 communicators. Quadlock phone mount with wireless charger. Highly recommend both.

Nice video. Is this system worth a 6 hour drive. I hear it's about an hour and a half past Charleston.

It’s 5.5 for me. So, I honestly didn’t know if I would make it there at any point. The initial plan for the weekend was Rush Off-road but that place sucked and Cabwaylingo was the closest HMT system to it. So, it was only about 1.5 from where we were at the time. The trip home was 5.5. You can do the whole system in a day if you are ambitious, (all greens, blues, and blacks) but it will take the whole day. It is a really cool place to stay (lodging) and some cool spots to see along the trails too. I already planned a trip back down next summer, once again 5.5 hrs from me. So, yes, worth it in my opinion lol.
