I went to school in Stamford Hill in the 1960's. There was a thriving Jewish community then, many of them Sephardic. Peaceful, respectful, and making a real contribution to the UK. My best friend at school, Lionel Reisman, was a real pal to me.

I was born and lived about 1-2 miles from Stamford Hill. The Jewish community there are wonderful, respectful and hard working people and NEVER caused trouble or problems. They live and let live and are a credit to this country.

Jewish people have culturally enriched wherever they go. After WW2 many came to this country who wrought an huge change, intellectually, to this land; spiritually, in the arts and the sciences, and the ordinary people themselves show greater 'Christian' charity than many who follow that faith.I am not Jewish, but Baruch Hashem!

If you're religious but not spiritual, it doesn't really help your mental health. In fact, it can actually make it worse. When religion teaches you to judge yourself and others, it can really mess with your mind. Spirituality, on the other hand, is all about being compassionate to yourself and others.

Yes it's even more Jewish than Golders Green, but I personally prefer Golders.

For a minute I thought it was here in London Ontario and said to myself we don't have Jews that wear these attire here what community? The ones we know wear normal clothes like everyone else then I realized you were talking about London England :) What we have is Muslims like Afghanis/ Pakistanis / Indians/ Arabs wear their traditional clothes and some women are covered from head to toe which sometimes I think I'm not living in Canada at all. Sorry... I didn't mean it as disrespect but you wouldn't you think they're coming to civilized country which sometimes I'm confused I look to the right and see men and women bearing almost everything and then I look to the other side and see Muslim women covered from head to toe in the middle of summer:)
