I spent the my first eleven years living with my grandparents in Stamford Hill. It was such a safe place to live. I used to go off with my friends to fish for tiddlers at the pond on Clapton Common and take my brother to Clissold Park. All this without my parents being concerned. The Hassidim were already there but there was also a private catholic school. I also wanted to go to Skinners Grammar School but we moved and I had to go to a different school. I am no longer young but I remember so many happy times .

Another interesting fact to do with Stamford Hill is that its poverty rate is at 20% where a London average is 14%, looking at the area in this clip it seems very surprising.

No disrespect to anyone firstly but does the religious texts Torah/Talmud ban the use of things such as deodorant, perfumes and cologne? For many years I've used trains on a route where there is a lot of orthodox families & I was unsure if it's by choice. X
