Consider as an alternative: Its not a loop. He becomes 'The Thin Man', in the same way a new hire at a news station could become 'The Weather Person'. Even if he looks exactly the same as his predecessor, it doesn't mean he is the same person, after all. Merely warped by the tower to fulfill the same role.

I won’t comment on everything else you said but I will on what you said about graphics. I almost completely disagree, I do understand that I think you would not want Batim to be redone with Batdr graphics as it would not suit the game but I would say using “better” is not best term to use. What I mean is the graphics in the first game were made for the first game, to be bright, simple, in your face and mesmerising while for Batdr it was meant to be messier (in a good way) dark and more solid feeling as it suited that game. As well as character designs, let’s take batims piper from the butcher gang, it looked like you puffed up the paper it was drawn on then messed it up slightly, it looked more like a cartoon that had been corrupted while with Batdr it was meant to almost give a more Frankenstein’s monster feel.
@PatrickSherwood-mg3ouАй бұрын
As well as what you said about the ink demon I absolutely do disagree with, the new looks like it is trying to hard to be a big scary monster (and I will admit it is a cool design) while the old one literally took the cute cartoon and made something taller and more corrupt, personally I found the old one far more unsettling then then the new but they both suit there own environments.

Please check your information, Bandai Namco has always owned the Little Nightmares intellectual property. Tarsier themselves were sold to another company (this even happened before Little Nightmares II finished). They were always going to leave Little Nightmares after and do something different after.

tarsier was still the one who actually made the game, and now its supermassive. bandai namco was just the publisher

@@MoltenMonsters correct, I never said they didn’t create it, but they never owned it. No different than From Software not owning Demon’s Souls or Bungie with Halo, they may have created it, but they don’t own it.

@MoltenMonsters yet you state in this video that Tarsier sold the LN property to Supermassive Games. This is not correct. Tarsier was bought by Embracer, leaving Bandai Namco to find another developer, which ended up being Supermassive.

No, Tarsier was bought by another company and Bandai Namco has always owned the rights to Little Nightmares. For the first two games Namco contracted Tarsier Studios, now they're using Supermassive. But I'm glad Tarsier are working on something new because Little Nightmares III looks terrible.
@sacredsecrecy96203 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm not digging the new style of that game either. The main characters look more like Little Big Planet and therefore completely out of place to me, and the overall atmosphere of the game is just not the same anymore. Little Nightmares was Tarsier's very own "brain baby" that no one else can recreate, since no one else has that vision for this franchise in their minds that Tarsier's devs had. To me, this franchise died as soon as I heard the news about Tarsier abandoning this IP. It's very disheartening still, but seeing the soul and essence of Little Nightmares continuing into Tarsier's new project, is making me so much more hopeful and excited for it. Looking forward to August 20th! 👍

LN3 has the exact same style as LN1 and 2, just that the game itself takes place in another setting. And as a small correction of your statement, Tarsier Studios is the creator of, and the ones who came up with Little Nightmares. Banda Namco became the publishers and own the rights to the franchise. However, Bandai Namco is no the ones who came up with the idea and then hired Tarsier as your comment kind of suggests. LN1 was kind of finished already when Bandai Namco came into the picture.

Late to the party, forgive me. There's one primary flaw in your hanged man theory. If the hanged man was in fact-the Thin Man trying to break the cycle, how would Six end up at the Maw at all? If the cycle were indeed broken, and Mono didn't release the Thin Man, then Six would never have been split in two (Dark Six), never been afflicted with the hunger, and never gone to visit the Maw in the first place, let alone bear witness to the hanged man. Creative thinking on your part, I'll grant you, but the evidence doesn't follow through. I want our boy to break the cycle as much as the rest of us, but this ain't it.
@MoltenMonsters3 ай бұрын
yes, I totally agree, I think I was a bit off there, I was kinda forcing stuff to fit together to give the story a happy ending, but I no longer stand by mono breaking the cycle. I think the larger message of little nightmares, and of mono becoming the thin man, is how children lose their innocence, and tend to become monsters as they grow into adults, the game being a commentary on generational divides, growing up, and the cycle of every generation that attacks the culture of those older then them eventually ending up just like their parents. and this theme only makes sense if every mono grows into the thin man, and every six grows into the lady (which I still strongly believe was the intention, with the placement of the nomes in the games)
@HeyEverybodyJesseHere3 ай бұрын
@@MoltenMonsters 100% on board with your current mindset. The big nightmare in Little Nightmares is that we become the monsters we fear. None the less, I do believe in happy endings, even if Little Nightmares doesn't. Which is one of the reasons I love the LN fandom. They do not accept the nightmare, and create their own wholesome and happy endings with their talent and creativity. This is as it should be.

Mono is not thin man, Thin man is acually just thin man. When mono asorbed thin man thin man was acually not dead he was badically "Using" Mono's body for a while. When me see mono turning into thin man at the end he is not acually growing up, It is just thin man slowly forming back. Mono is dead, and the reason why six dropped mono was because she felt thin man's presense in mono knowing its not mono. Thin man is just waiting for another child to warp into the tv so he can gain more power from them. Theory two, Mono is still in the tv and all of this happened in his head and it was a manipulation and six never pulled him out. Last Theory, When six woke up at the start of LN1 she realized that none of this truely happened and that it was truely a nightmare.

@MoltenMonsters3 ай бұрын
idk tbh I feel like we've been looking at the lore of little nightmares wrong. a lot of us kinda lump it in with fnaf, bendy, poppy, etc, but its developers werent inspired by any of those games, and I dont think its correct for us to assume the story would function in the same way. I believe little nightmares is a metaphor for the corrupting influence of life. Mono grows up to be the thin man, because thats what happens to children. many innocent children grow up into monsters, every evil, corrupt, abusive, cruel person who has ever lived was once a child. I think thats the message of little nightmares broadly, and I think for that message to work, six and mono, who were once fighting the system must grow up, and become the new status quo.
