Hey @deandohertygreaser, I bought a HA3JAW to replace the chuck on my Makita drill but I can't seem to get the SDS adapter off it. Any tips? Or am I just crazy.
@deandohertygreaserСағат бұрын
It should be the same as the chuck on your drill. a left hand thread screw holding the chuck and then right hand thread to unscrew the chuck.

Hi Dean, mi staple gun had the same problem, I fixed it right after watching this video, the problem is before that I tried to fix it spraying lots of wd40, stupid decision I know, the thing is now when I fire the gun, throws the staple very week, so week that the staple barely gets stuck in the wood
@deandohertygreaserСағат бұрын
strip it down, clean all parts with brake cleaned, especialy the driver and fly wheel. not much you can do other than that, and it still might not sink them fully anymore.

I've been on the Makita platform for about 20yrs, well before they started making these. I remember when senco released the first battery powered nail gun here in Canada (not with gas) and then all the companies followed suit. Makita just fell behind. Milwaukee and DeWalt took the bull by the horns in price and effectiveness.

I think we owe a big thank you for all the info you shared. I am deciding which cordless tool brand to choose. Milwaukee M18 vs makita 18V vs makita 40V. From the info you have shared i will avoid milwaukee, i am mostly leaning toward to makita 40V. Is it as reliable and as repair friendly as the 18V makita line? I have the best exprerience with corded makita tools, but some say that it is not as it used to be reliability vise. Anyone have any experience with 18 against 40V makita tools? Tanks for all replies and info. :)

Nice one Dean top job as always - tried my hand at a tool repair today, she couldn’t be saved though, motor controller shat the bed & let the smoke out. Although trying to repair SMD’s seems easier than sourcing an Einhell part tbh 🙄🤣

That's not a lawn, lol, that's a bed of weeds. I prefer a gas powered mower. Seems like the only gas powered autonomous mowers are commercial units. Maybe I'll have to build my own.
@deandohertygreaserКүн бұрын
You just want remote controlled mower for the fun of it. Ha, yea this js actually an over grown assess road. But this mower still handled it. Petrol models are still used by an operator. These units are totally automated. You just set how often you what it to cut and never look at it again just leave it to work

Surely some of the items could be broken for spares?? I'm a farmer so we keep everything "just in case" and then run out of room in the workshop

This unit is more for massive sloping lawns, it can cut up to 5000 sq mtr. Over kill for a small lawn like mine.
@derekpalmer7598Күн бұрын
for £3000 i expect it to clear up the grass as well
@deandohertygreaserКүн бұрын
Your missing the point of them. This grass is long and I'm only using it here to test it out. But once cut, this unit will simply go out every day or 2 and cut the grass on its own. It would never get this long again. And the cutting it produces are so small they fall into the lawn and help fertilize it. An automated mower like this cutting ever 2 days will have a old rough lawn look like a golf course in only a few weeks.

Wait! If customers never picked them up, does that mean you fixed all or most of them? Why scrap those if that's the case? Plenty of charities out there building things for the needy who'd be happy to take donations of working tools.

Thanks for filming in landscape mode. Users on mobile can rotate their phones, but people who watch on monitors or TV can't. Also or eyes are made to watch horizontally.

They've got you by the short ones with that cable. You couldn't drill out the old one and reuse the grommet, because there's no cable clamp except the grommet. You'd be doing well to remove the old cable clean enough to glue in a new one reliably.
