it's not THAT bad. Best thing to prepare for it, is get a magic resist ring and/or the bracers from the sokoban trial. Another good thing is to stock up on water throughout your run so you can use the alembic to duplicate extra healing potions in preparation for the fight. Without about 20 of those potions, the fight should be winnable if you're good at using your inventory. Blank scrolls for enchant weapon also are great, you can get the Gungnir spear in the minotaur maze and enchant it to like +10 or something then go full melee with potions on the final fight. There's also some cheese strats like leveling tinkering and making 70 flametraps for each of the lich siblings. Another good one is recruiting several succubus. Because the succubi will recruit other monsters for you, eventually you will have far, FAR more friendly creatures than your leadership skill should allow you to have, which makes the final bosses much less likely to ever focus on you, which means an easy victory if you can kill them quick enough. Recruiting them is tricky though, as you usually need to get very close to them and reflect their charm spell with an amulet of magic reflection.

Casting 100 gives infinite force bolt. You kind of forget or don't realize that if you don't read the skill explanation unfortunately. Other than that, using magic scrolls, bringing good armor, and having magic resistance items makes this fight work.

In each of the major biomes there is a secret room on each of them that have a puzzle or a difficult task. Green: Jungle Temple - Floor 7 Bonus +8 Dexterity and +8 Perception It is filled with with boulder and dart traps, as well as many trolls and goblins in cages that spring out after you enter. A bonus is if you have a blessed mirror or some way to teleport, there are barred rooms, just before the entrance to the temple, that are east and west of the bridge across a chasm. If you can get into each room they have many piles of gold. Red: Minotaur Maze - Floor 13 Bonus: +8 Strength and +8 Constitution To get to it you need a pick axe or digging spell/staff. The portal is within a square with no visible entrance, and is surrounded in lava. Once you enter, the Minotaur will spawn and chase you down. I recommend not attempting this if you do not have the slow/cold spell, or cold traps. Another way to attempt this is with blinding speed, a pick axe, and levitation. Once you reach the center you can grab the orb as well as Gungnir, a spear that can take you to the end game. It ignores some of your opponents AC, and scales with pole arms. Familiarize yourself with the map on the wiki. Blue: Mystic Library - Floor 16 Bonus +8 Int and 50% Magic Resistance You must have levitation to enter the portal. You could theoretically teleport until you end up there but the room is small. Just before the portal there is a boulder trap so watch out for that. Once you enter there is nothing to fight, only many chest to loot with spell books, staffs, and scrolls. There are many people there you can recruit as well. These bonuses are temporary, but there is an alternate use. If you save them for after the fight with Baron Herx you can give them to the mysterious merchant. The mysterious merchant is in the sewers of Hamlet. The entrance to the sewers is the Trap door inside the inn. The Green orb opens up purchase for Khryselakatos, a magic bow, or a quiver of piercing or hunting arrows. The Red orb will give you access to purchase excellent +3 crystal weapons. The Blue orb will give access to Sharur, a magic mace, or an excellent enchanted feather.
