@@cronoce1 up near the Canyon Lake Dam they have some easier to access spots on the bank. The state park has some decent spots for bank stomping as well. Many areas are wet and sloppy, so I wear my waders the majority of the time. Best of luck out there, keep casting!

@@Elguapoadv thanks for the kind words! I work with a dam down approach. Many good holes along the river, but the darn fish always change their mind, mood and location. Huaco Springs is a good spot as well, plenty of stocked and holdover trout in that area. Have fun and be safe out there!

I might roll back through, not certain yet. I fished on a bay trip a few weeks back and it wasn't great. More Gafftop, some decent Snapper, then the hard heads rolled in something terrible. Are you jumping on that 10 hour trip?

@@JosueRdz23 you’ll get on them, you’ve said the magic word in determination. What I have learned is that everything is one helluva hike to gain access to the majority of the areas. Good thing at this point in time, water level is lower so somewhere easier to navigate in waders. Some of these homeowners are extremely against us overall and I can’t really blame them. Tubers all summer and anglers all winter. If we all just pick up after ourselves and not disturb their private property it’s a win for all. Stay in the water, whatever you do. I’ve seen some ugliness out there and it hurts us all. Would hate to see this great fishery become off limits. Keep casting, you’ll get on them! Have a magnificent afternoon. As long as you get in at a public spot and stay in the water, you're good and folks will leave you alone. This river is full of all different sizes, it's just time on the water.
