Thank you so much for uploading this program. My Dad used to sing Behind Closed Doors back in the 70s and 80s while he played guitar. I can still see the Charlie Rich sheet music when I hear the song. ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you again.

Folks, just look at Winn wife love for him singing and his openness to sing without others concerns.

This is when white people in America were appreciated. All races were entertained but today white people who are talented are the enemy.

It’s not the final clip because whoever put this together forgot Rusty Richards of the sons of the pioneers. I guess I’ll have to get a clip and put it out on UTube so Dad gets his fair well review. Lost Dad last year about this time at 89 years. Burt and him remained friends for lifetime and it was fun going to Burt’s house when it was just Dolly Parton and my three sisters for dinner, dad came over late after filming the Barbra mandrel show with Roy Rogers and the sons of the pioneers. We all passed guitar around and sang a few songs . Burt wanted dolly to meet the Richards kids he practically raised us 🙏❤️

If Burt had concentrated on his career by developing meaningful projects for himself instead of doing heck shows like this, he would have been considered one of the greats.

Hi Jason, I am thrilled to hear from you and to know a bit more about your dad. I’m not sure why I did not include his song in this collection of clips. I promise it must’ve been an oversight. I am very much an amateur and will dig around and see if I can find my original copy of the special and post it. Keep reminding me! In the meantime, I would love love to know more about your dad. My understanding as a 17-year-old girl at the time was that he might have been Burt’s assistant with his horses and stables. Maybe not true at all! So happy you reached out.
