Charlie was always happiest letting his piano do the talking and he was one of the greatest talents ever in the musical world.

Today's 'talent' couldn't hold a candle to this.

I see Jim Nabors for the first time in this great entertaining where Burt Reynolds is the host of the programe . If it is the man in a brown suit who is singing so well I hope to hear him again

I’ve never seen this footage before, I’ve always been a Big Charlie Rich fan. I had always heard the Silver Fox was extremely quiet and spoke little, but would open up a bit if you went fishing with him. Great Vlog!

Thanks for the appreciation! This whole show is a treasure! The only ones still with us as far as I know are Dolly Parton, Bobby Goldsboro and my parents Betty and Winfield Dunn who are 93 and 94 :-)

He'd also open up a bit by passing the single malt and playing his white baby grand. Wonderful couple.

Wow, Charlie Rich looked a lot like Elvis.

He sure did, who knows maybe he was Elvis older brother who was born 2 -3years earlier since Vernon was rumored to give children for adoption because he couldn't afford them & he was always in trouble & in jail. It was said the Elvis visited Arkansas frequently where Charlie Rich was born. It was rumored that Elvis twin brother never died but was given for adoption but only God knows the truth. Have you seen the movie the Identical? Then there was a letter which was authenticated from Elvis that he wrote while in the army to someone in Memphis stating he couldn't wait to go back to the USA & go see his younger brother born in 1946 when he was 11 years old whom his father also gave for adoption. I saw this letter in KZbin but it was taken off.

Where is the rest of this special you only have about 40 minutes posted between the 4 videos.... This show was about 90 minutes because it aired from 11:30pm to 1:00am when it aired in 1974. Dolly Parton doesn't say a word. I am sure she has to sing or do something more than just sit there.... I have been looking for this forever soooo grateful you posted what you have so far looking forward to seeing the rest of it!!!!
