Small cube dirt track engine with a 250@050 split or square pattern cam spec. I would imagine 106-108 lobe centre. Especially if it for a short track. Just a edmacated guesstimate...
@time85333 жыл бұрын
@@jasonsardie8085 yeah I was just asking because I'm building a small block with a 264/268 @50 .667 lift on a 105 LSA. it's actually a dirt track camshaft and I was trying to find something that someone was running clothes to my specs so that I can compare the sound.
@jasonsardie80853 жыл бұрын
@@time8533 that's a nice, very tight cam shaft. Depending on the size of the engine. I would put a can like that in a short dirt track 350-370 cube carburettored methanol 13-14:1 comp. Solid roller, 7500 red line race only engine. Who ever is doing your engine , I would suggest that when it is ground, it is ground with 2-3 degrees advance on in. Just to help widen the torque curve.

Im tryna figure out what makes the throttle response so snappy like does anybody know the answer?
@MichaelMcCaulTX4 жыл бұрын
compression
@strokerace14bp3 жыл бұрын
Lots of things attribute to crisp response but no converter or big clutch hanging off the flywheel is the main reason. Internally balancing the rotating assembly,lightweight clutch assembly amongst other things is a must 4 that kind of throttle response.
@burnychaplin46013 жыл бұрын
Oval outlaw is 100: percent correct no weight on crankshaft just a starter ring and maybe a light weight coupler or most dirt car engines and a Sprint Car doesn't even have a flywheel or starter or battery that is where you get that wap wap insane throttle response you can take an old Chevy truck or car with a v8 and dual exhaust un bolt the torque converter slid it back into the pump on the transmission that's all your weight fire it up and it will sound bad to the bone with nothing but the starter ring on the crank but you can't drive it that way LOL
@jamestone2653 жыл бұрын

is the advantage of running a 302 block vs SBC weight savings and flatter torque curve of a wider LSA cam in a 347? Also, what heads and compression on this beast? idk much about fords. thx
@mrslurm7243 жыл бұрын
351n ford heads, probe dome pistons cut to fit cylinder head, comp around 13.5 to 1, and weight is lighter however depends on the chassis and the weight above roll
