A friend of mine has the same combo recently bought and indeed the plate and screws from Holosun seem to work. Yes the screw is a tad short and by that he meant 1 or two threads shorter but when torqued to spec 10-15 in-lbs (he did 12.5) no issues so far. Post back from what you hear from Holosun, should be interesting.

Measure the Holosun screw. Usually it should measure to around .470. If your screw is shorter, then Holosun may have changed the T10 screw size for the newer batches of EPS carry. From my research as long as the size will reach .420 for the extractor side and .440 for the other side, you are good to go.

I have the same chainsaw that was a mess when I got it. It’s running good now but I have so much Barr oil under the saw after running it for 5 minutes. Is there a way to lower how much oil comes out and feeds the chain or do I just need a new oil pump?
@TepcoCycleRepair15 күн бұрын
No adjustment on the 028 for the bar oil. Just make sure that the oiler is working properly and you can change to a heavier oil to slow it down.

EDIT! HUMMING ISSUE SOLVED!!! 2025 Quick update: I had my mechanic replace the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and clean the throttle body. We also tried replacing the PCV valve, but it was stuck and too risky to remove. Since then, the truck has been silent-no humming or foghorn noise, even after multiple drives. Not sure if it was the new IAC valve, the throttle body cleaning, or both, but something worked. The old IAC valve was filthy, so that might have been the issue. Tip for similar issues: Even if the noise sounds like it’s coming from the front (airbox/EVAP area), check the IAC valve near the throttle body. I used a Hitachi IAC valve since Motorcraft doesn’t make one anymore, and it’s working great. Thanks for all the advice! Let me know if you’ve dealt with stubborn PCV valves or similar issues. Cheers!

Depends, if you're clutch isn't fully disengaging when you pull it in it could make it difficult to shift. If it is and shifting it notchy, then no this won't fix it.

I don't have an engineering degree in fasteners, but nonetheless, I'm under strong impression that a typical nut engages well in only 3 threads (first thread which is tapered doesn't count on the screw). Just do your math. If it is less than 3 full threads, then it's unlikely the right size of the screw, it should be protruding more. Less than 3 threads is meaning that you'll likely be damaging the threads. Also you already know the thread pitch. 3 full + 1 tapered thread for standard M4 should give something around 0.7*4 = 2.8mm. Should not be less than 2.8mm, never ever. I don't know and would not want to know anything about arms, just applying the common sense here.
@TepcoCycleRepair19 күн бұрын
@basilfokin2326 You're getting the same measurements as I was. I'm getting 2mm insertion. Waiting for a reply from Holosun.

@@Tizzy_p If the shift shaft is moving freely you're probably looking at shift fork issues, or rounded dogs on the gears. Unfortunately if the shift shaft moves freely you're next step is splitting the cases to see what is going on.

Just curious here. Since you’re already drilling and tapping it, why not just use the size bolt you tapped it to? If the newly tapped threads are shallow then why not just go to the next size up that is full depth and use that size bolt for plug?
@TepcoCycleRepairАй бұрын
@@Luke-h5j Because this repair is way stronger and most likely will never strip again. Using the case at a bigger bolt size would most likely strip again then there might not be enough meat to do this repair so it would be new case time. This customer will never have to worry about this again, but valid question, thank you.

Most likely the starter switch or button. See if you're getting power to the solenoid when you hit the start button, if you are, and you're able to jump the solenoid and it works, it's your solenoid.
