Pass The Kutchie is the original name of song. Which was written and sung by the Mighty Diamonds. Gimme De Music was written, and sung/Dj, by the Original Daddy UBrown. The riddim track is studio riddim titled Full Up. The Musical Youths, made a re-make version of the riddim track Full Up. Re-recorded the Mighty Diamond song Pass The Kutchie, and change the name Pass The Dutchie. And the reason for changing the name. It is because the word Kutchie, which is a part of the ganja pipe. And according to the shit-stem Kutchie is a drug paraphernalia. And the Musical Youth version would not hit commercially if the Kutchie word was in their version. And the word Dutchie becomes curious to a lot of people who didn't knew what a Dutchie was, which was a pot that we use to cook in Jamaica. Then they take a part of Daddy UBrown lyrics of Gimme De Music, and add to it. Making it a full song. Which becomes a MONSTER HIT.

Allan is "Legendary". Listened to him on RJR from the mid 70's to the day he retired from broadcasting. Life is a journey and Allan has completed his part of that journey, leaving an indelible mark on the Jamaican populous he served for over 4 decades. Go in peace now Allan ❤.
