Always worth listening to your thoughts Ellen, loved hearing your perspective on social media going into 2025. Completely agree with evergreen content. I got so burned out this year on trying to keep up with trends and can’t afford to do that next year! I assumed Instagram will replace TikTok if the ban goes ahead so it was interesting hearing your views on this. I need to get better at content planning next year and planning in quarters rather than month to month.
@EllenandTara4 күн бұрын
So true! Planning ahead and focusing on evergreen is going to be big for me. And yep I'll certainly have my eye on what's happening with tiktok and the roll on effect hehe :)

Great tips! Thank you. I’ve been stuck in this how do I create enough content to be ahead when I have very little content to post from clients. I have no idea where to start looking to cold call or where/how to get emails. I think getting in front of the right people is really the thing I’m struggling with most (and figuring out how to actually build out a business since eventually I want to build a full digital marketing agency that does it all and have a few employees)

There’s only background music for the first part, it fades out :) I’ve always had background music except for podcast episodes:)

I agree, it is only a bit too loud, i find it a little distracting when there are talking bits! But the rest is fine ❤

Thank you so very much Ellen! I am a programmer, and I've been solo building an app/electronic device for the past 2 years. I am almost finished building my product and ready to launch, but I've been dreading finishing it and have been stalling for the past month or so because I know that when I'm finally done building, I won't know how to launch and sell. This video has been like a beacon of light in a dark tunnel for me. I finally have some direction, and a good idea of how I'm going to go about the next phase of my business. For once, I'm looking forward to launching my product, which is incredibly sad if you think about it because the whole point of creating a product is to share it with the world. Launching it and enjoying the fruit of your labor should be the best part! Thank you for sharing your much needed knowledge/experience, and for equipping people like myself with the tools that they have been missing. It is appreciated far more than you'll ever know.

what is the right per hour rate for new smm right now im getting 8hr
@EllenandTara29 күн бұрын
This varies a huge amount depending on many factors like experience, location, skill level, strategy requirements etc. It could be $20 and hour, it could be $120! There is no “standard” rate as everyone is different and pricing is so personal, without knowing you, I can’t give an exact price :)

Thank you for the video. I've been on Instagram since 2017, grown my own page to 40k, but it doesn't pay the bills. I sent a bunch of blind emails and heard nothing awhile ago but trying again in January ❤❤ going to watch more!
@EllenandTaraАй бұрын
wow building your own page to 40k is brilliant social proof and should definitely help out you stand out to potential clients! I would make sure you create a little PDF maybe showing some of the analytics/insights from that page, use it as a case study and then follow up with some pages on your prices/packages. I have a new 3-part series on becoming a SMM in 2025 dropping later this month 🙌🏼

Definately checking out these recs! If you're working on videos from a pc or tablet I reccomend swapping Cap Cut for Davinchi Resolve. It's professional editing software with a robust free version. I used to love CapCut but they keep paywalling anything useful!

This is amazing, thank you! What if a client needs me to also go to events to take photos and reels… He’s a mobile bartending service so that’s really important to show events and people! So I would be taking the content as well plus managing his social media accounts… Do you have a video that shows just pricing for photography? And then if someone wants both, how do you price that out?

Interesting cool tool! I only wonder what's the pros to using this than to simply only a scheduler if you were to schedule it anyway? Wouldn't that safe a lot of time and effort? Lol but for planning only & manual posting this looks amazing. Will try
@EllenandTaraАй бұрын
I personally don't like scheduling my social content! I find I get better engagement when I post manually and it makes me more active on Instagram which means I get better results. But I know everyone is different so if you want to be able to also schedule content then this probably isn't the app for you!
@veganfuture4224Ай бұрын
@ I see… actually I’d be in favor to manual posting, but do you do that for multiple clients? I’m very much just learning about it currently, so I’d like to know how to do this if you have multiple clients that have f.e. 2 posts/day each?

What a fantastic discussion! Cold emails can definitely make a difference when strategized well. Since switching to Mystrika, I have enjoyed a high-quality warmup in multiple languages, which has broadened my outreach. The Facebook community is also super supportive. If you are looking into improving your cold emails, Mystrika is definitely worth a look.

Great insights here! Cold emails do require the right strategy. After exploring various tools, I found Filter Bounce to be a solid choice for my verification needs. Keeping my bounce rate under 1% has really helped maintain my sender reputation. If anyone needs reliable email verification, do not overlook Filter Bounce!

For clients on long term contract, how do you set-up and secure the payment for that? How can you make sure that the client will not just ghost you midway the contract period?
