Dang, i was just watching and enjoying the video and i peeped the channel and had no idea you were the same guy from the 365 hiking video from 15 years ago. I watched that as an 11 year old and here we are now drinking stoli and watching videos on it. Hair and beard look awesome dude. Time flies

To be fair to the Latvians, the Stolichnaya brand comes from the Soviet Union which Latvia was just as much a part of as Russia. (Actually I was asking myself whether either of the Stolichnaya factories are the original!)

Gute Story - und ich kann mir sehr gut vorstellen wie das Adrenalin in Dir gepumpt hat. Ich hatte mal erstaunlich aehnlich reagiert - ueberfreundlich & aeusserlich extrem naiv. Das war Ende der 90er in der Guangdong Province. In einem Bus haben auf einmal ein paar Genoven beschlossen, die Reisenden auszurauben. Bei den meisten waren sie auch erfolgreich aber ich hatte so lange durchgehalten bis sie es irgendwann aufgegeben haben. Ich war damals Student an der Shenzhen Uni & habe sehr wohl verstanden was sie wollten, aber ich habe mich einfach laechenld gestellt - und die sagten immer wieder 'versteht der den Ernst der Situation nicht'...aber es ging am Ende irgendwie gut aus. Ich hatte die Geschichte wirklich fast schon vergessen bis Du Deine Story erzaehlt hast. Das Vorgefallene hat mich aber trotzdem nicht davon abgehalten in CN zu 'bleiben'. Auch heute - fast 30 Jahre spaeter - bin ich immer noch regelmaessig hier (momentan auch wieder). CN ist zwar nicht mehr so 'vibrant' wie in der Area von 2K-2015 aber es ist immer noch cool & spannend, (auch wenn nicht mehr ganz so crazy). Ich bin jedenfalls immer wieder gerne hier (part-time zumindest) - lassen wir politics mal aside. Ich follow Dir schon lang & gerne + wuensche Dir, dass Du auch irgendwann mal wieder hierher kommen kannst. Mit einem low profile waere das vielleicht auch moeglich...just a thought.
