Does this camera, through the NVR, provide a RSTP stream that I can access? This camera system is currently on top of my list. My environment is a little out of recommended configuration, with a T-intersection and my mounting position is about 30 degrees and 70ft from the intersection that needs to be monitored.

Just purchased the most expensive ALPR system from you for almost $1600 and I am having the hardest time getting clear plates at night if at all its mounted around 5ft above road level. Aprx 15-20ft from the road. I have tried a 10 degree angle all the way up to 60 degrees. It was capturing decently in the day time. I need help asap. Thank you.

Hi Kurt, Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. 5ft high is great, however 60 degrees is too much of an angle for the ALPR software. You *may* be able to still record plates clearly at that extreme angle (license plate capture), but that angle is way too great for automatic license plate recognition (ALPR). We are in the office right now until 5:00 EST. We are here Mon-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm EST. James and Carlos can give you the best help. They are both here now. Yes sir. You can get alarm notifications on the mobile app, then 2-way audio, or trigger recorded alarm sounds / messages. It has a lot of cool alarm functions.

The problem with all the scenarios is that the Chinesium recorder is still on your client's network. I agree with Ken below, VLANs are the way to go. Put that recorder on it's own VLAN and deny it access to your customer's main network.

Viewtron LPR cameras are ONVIF compliant, so they will work with any ONVIF compliant NVR for license plate capture. However, the AI software for automatic license plate recognition and the license plate database functions are not ONVIF functions. Many better ways to do this. You don't need seperate switches to do this. A managed switch that supports VLAN's will work much better and keep you from buying redudant equipment. You can even have seperate uplinks from access and aggragate switches to your core to keep the traffic off the same links as standard network traffic.

VLAN is the way. That reduces homerun connections you otherwise need, which can be a huge problem covering a large area.

@@espressomatic Amen! And for the love of God if you have a ton of camera's don't go wireless unless you want nothing but complaints about how slow the Wi-Fi is. Not unless your utilizing separate bands for camera's and standard traffic. But even that can be a stretch.

If you enable remote camera monitoring, you are still required to enter a userid and password.

The answer is yes and no. Any time you give something access to the internet it is exposed. However you can have a VPN on your phone to connect you to the internal network and access from there. Also yes and no, because it depends on the NVR software as to what it will permit you to do. Some systems do not permit direct viewing off of the NVR but the NVR is connected to the vendors servers and your app connects to their servers. In that instance the video is going from your NVR to their servers where you access it. How secure the system is also depends on the vendors software. Is authentication limited to the built in database on the NVR? Does the NVR support remote authentication protocols such as LDAP to allow you to integrate the authentication with your Active Directory or other authentication servers. Does it support role based access?

Mike do you speak to future potential customers if requested before buying? Well the reason why ask is I've been a customer with a competitor of yours called Security Camera King that is also located in Fla. I've had coaxial 4K cameras for years. Originally started 10 years ago with 2mp.I wired everything "miles of wires...lol" Bought 3 DVRs also upgraded many times when high res cameras came out. I know all the cameras are Dahua and even the XVR is but no names are any of them like yours NVR because I recognize the same software as mine. Also my third DVR for the past few years is a XVR has 16 coaxial and 16 IP cameras that could be hooked. I currently have 14 plugged in. Also two on stand by 8mp PTZ IP that are in my system but not mounted yet. One reason if I upgrade to all IP that's I have a lot of money in cameras, BNC connectors and Siamese wires also a power box that I would lose. Two issues I fight with my system. One if one cameras starts buzzing in and out or something the camera In the next box starts tweaking also for a second. I finally figured out over the years the DVR the connectors for the BNC are way to close and one affects the other. If I touch my wires or move the box BAM!!! picture goes bye bye or one of the cameras does only and you got to wait to reset. The biggest problem I have is clarity when watching a recored event. It blows the only way to describe it. Not clear at all and I got all 4K TVs and 4K cameras. I try to zoom in and it's just horrible. But watching them live not bad and clear. I cannot figure out why that it is and complained over the years. Listen they have been great at helping me 95% of the time so that's why Ive been loyal. So I'm comparing your products with theirs in all honestly and thee are some price different I would like to speak about and challenges ahead of me rewiring my house again for Cat6+. Sorry I rambled on but I just wanted to give you my background first before you respond. And Ive been following u for the last couple years so that's why I'm reaching out thank u

However, you can use one of our long range wireless bridge systems if you need to install the camera away from the main structure that will house the NVR. Hello, need a camera that can read plates at night, to monitor dumpsters. There are lights on at night near the dumpsters, so it is not dark in that area. Have RING for my home, but they are not good for distance and plates or details. Would love your recommendation. I have photos to share of what it looks like from future camera location.

You can use any brand of wireless bridge that you like, long as the devices have transmitter / receiver modes and have hard wired RJ-45 inputs.
