How am I gaslighting anyone? When did I say you could not or would not still be able to play the original Console Version? I explicitly acknowledged The Fun Pimps statement related to the subject at 7:42. Additionally what info did I fail to mention? From my point of view, I answered the three questions in the video entirely with facts & publicly accessible information.

@@miloroberts5883 From my memory the last update that got released back in December 2017 for the console version didn’t break the game? I only started playing the console version after 2018 & it always seemed normal to me.

Although I'm relatively new to the 7 Days To Die community compared to players like yourself I have heard complaints from multiple people regarding some of their development decisions. It must be frustrating to have to relearn these skill trees and remember changes they've made to simple things that used to work differently & more. I think people shitting on The Fun Pimps for not just giving the new Console Port away for free is wrong. The fact they are even offering a 25% discount to digital owners of the old version is enough for me to respect them. Thanks for the comment!

Also I may have heard it wrong but it sounded like you said something about only people that down loaded it get the discount so I guess I'm not getting a discount huh.

​@@FrightNU To be fair there is a difference between what the PC version is getting & what console players are getting & I think that needs to be acknowledged. PC players are getting this update for free because it's an update. It's not an entirely new game, just an update to the already existing game that The Fun Pimps have been developing for over ten years. Console players aren't getting an "update" to the already existing 7 Days To Die game on console. That game was made by Telltale & Iron Galaxy Studios, not The Fun Pimps. Instead, PS5 & Xbox Series X/S are getting a new game, not an update. GAME. It's built from the ground up entirely differently than the old Legacy Version that you & me own currently hence why we have to pay for it again. Also yeah, only digital owners of 7 Days To Die will get the 25% discount but that's because if players who owned the disc could get the discount then someone (hypothetically) could just insert the disc into their console, get the discount & then pass the disc to a friend & they could do the same & on & on. The Fun Pimps would then be losing potentially a quarter of their revenue from game sales from people who did not even own the old 7 Days game.

That's completely fair! I'll be buying it day one on PS5 if I can but that's mainly due to me wanting to make content on it, if you have the PC Version you are already sorted haha

@@MrCatmanjoe it's running quite poorly on pc tbh. There has been little optimisation. 30 series GPU and a 12th gen 12 core CPU and it still takes ages to get into the game and stutters often. 🧐🧐

? greed? did u not listen to the video? lol whole video. and obviously you dont run a business. shit costs money to port it over. its not as simple as copy paste sadly. the fact they are offering a 25% discount to current owners is really nice of them. who knows what their agreement was with the publisher that originaly put it on console. did funpimps get a flat fee cash in hand? or did they get say 25% on gross sales? game is worth 40 dollars. to most anyone that games. i mean cheap fast food meals are 10+ anymore....... that said i never buy anything full price game wise. imo what wish lists are for. lol but console is dif story im sure. i quit console. overpriced machines and no mods. yawn..........

I doubt it will backfire, since the demand on console is really high for this game. People will complain, for sure. Though, I don't see that preventing this game from being a success. I agree with you though. The updated version should be free for those that purchased the original release. Console players got screwed.

@@user-xf1ur3hu4z TFP's already got paid... They should try to make money off of NEW sales... not double dipping on console players. It's better to sell a million copies at $8 than 200,000 copies at $40.

Which version you talking about lol..... i assume the current console version? i bet it was is buggy. but was playable. and i assume cheap. and yea i was shocked when i learned they went console with it years ago. i was like with this?..... goodluck with that. i mean it was fun and all but ugh. it def had its issues even on pc with updates. but pc version they always fixed it up enough to be fun. so not sure what ur crying about pc wise. it not perfect, never will be. that is life.....

lol I have played for almost 10 years. Early versions of the game were rough but never unplayable. Hence why it was an Alpha. The console edition they sold the rights to Iron Galaxy and Telltale because they said they could handle porting. TFP was not selling it on consoles. That was all Telltale

To be fair you could get the game for as low as £4 on CD-Keys for the PC Version up until recently & it is still in an "Alpha" so that does mean it's unfinished. With the launch of Version 1.0, we should have a more complete game as it'll officially be unfinished.

It’ll be on the series S but it’ll be more limited graphically considering that it isn’t as powerful as the X or PS5. If you want the best experience I recommend upgrading

Hey sorry, I did actually type in my script for the video "so when we got the news that only the PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Consoles would be receiving this new version it was a huge disappointment for some." However, I noticed only after publishing the video I somehow said Xbox Series X/X instead of X/S haha, sorry about that!

@@MrCatmanjoe the short version is the MD5 bug happens after the game crashes or causes the crash. Never was properly determined, except that only console users had the issue. What happens after is the game corrupts and you lose anything you have acquired completely. Happened to me and my brother 7 years ago. We were devastated. We were on day 48 I believe. Lost everything.

Only because Microsoft and Sony retrograded their older consoles with "updates" to sell new ones.

I can't see many copies of 7D2D being bought/sold at $45 or even $33. As someone bought the game for $8 on PC, I'll wait for the price to come down, IF I buy it at all.

From the gameplay I've seen of the PS5 Version it looks really good, much better than the old version that's for sure!
