Comparing quality of photos was no the point of the video though

@ u put 2 cameras in the title. If comparing them was not the point then u did an inadvertent bait & switch

@@a55tech like I say many times in the video it was all about shooing experience, price and availability. I was Just trying to give people an alternative to the Fujifilm. Never was about photo quality

@ again from the title that ain’t what ppl be expecting when they decide to start the vid. Also they prolly want to know more about IQ more than the other stuff cuz that what a camera do

Hello, First of all really nice video. But i need to ask you something what do you think about the ricoh gr|||, i consider buying the sony rx100v|| or the ricoh gr|||. Picture quality is the main pount why i think of buying the ricoh because many people are saying that the ricoh has a nicer look, especially like a „film look“ but i also want to shoot videos and the flexibilty of the sony and the view finder so what do you think about the image quality? Thanks for your help:))

just got a rx100 III and i love it (used mint condition is 300 euro now in Europe). i bought it in alternative to a Ricoh GR3 (850 price tag, used) The only disappoint is that the III does not have profiles (the IV is the first to have it but at least 100 euro more)

great video. Used prices have gone up dramatically though. I bought myself the Sony ZV1 (around 500$) wich basically has the same internals as the RX100 mVI but it is build from plastic and the RX100 series is a tiny bit more convenient for Photography (manual dials). Image quality they are the same. I used to have bigger cameras with lenses and I never took them with me. So I first scaled down to Fuji X100F. Had great fun with it for 7 years, but even the Fuji was just a bit too big. So the Sony is really compact. I hear people ask what about the 1 inch sensor. Well, the sensor is very good. For me it is also important that it can print up to A3 size photos and they then should be sharp. And it does!! :-) I hope your video inspires people to have a look at compact cameras since they are very cool.

One thing to note is there is a noticeable bump in image quality from Mark 2 to 3 and Mark 1-5 have a lower aperture than 6-7, so those are slightly better for street or landscape photos. If you shoot in daylight or sun a lot, Mark 3-5 have a built in ND filter which the 6-7 do not. Imo, the best model is the 3 considering used market prices. I bought my RX100 III three years ago near mint w chargers and strap for about $450. The 5 is good too but I’ve seen them go for $600-700 or more on MPB and KEH which is crazy to be paying that much for a “pocket” camera. With that money you might as well get a few years old M43 or APS-C body paired w a good lens for better photos to get your money’s worth.

@@cartergraythanks! new to your content but love what you’re doing. the only benefit to the Mark 6-7 is they have better zoom. Mark 5-7 have the same AF, if people can afford it, the V or Va is amazing too. Mark 1-2 has a 24-100mm Mark 3-5 has a 24-70mm Mark 6-7 has a 24-200mm

Had a x100f when it came out, sold it because it felt a bit bulky.. fast forward a few years, had a a7iv set up, great camera... recently sold it, was looking at a gr3 or possibly a sony rx... one camera I haven't sold... my pentax q lol.. Itty bitty camera, Itty bitty sensor..but its fun and it takes great shots, besides, for something being posted to social media, viewed on a bloody phone screen, no one can tell anyway.

Glad this up here, good reminder 👍. I bought my Rx100 IV back in 2021. Use it as my daily Cam and as much as I would love the Fuji, I know I can take incredible shots on this and much more compact

Is this Sony RX100 (any mark 3 to 7) the right camera for getting habitual of photography and mastering manual settings? If not suggest me budget alternatives please (: backstory: I wanted to learn photography. So I got a used Sony A7s2. Then lens I got with it was damaged. I thought buying a zoom lens would help me practice diversely with different focal lengths. Bought the Tamron 24-70 f2.8. The thing is I don't keep my camera with me. I should have got a fixed focal length lens (which would have also been smaller) and a smaller camera so that I can keep this handy with me always. I need to practice more and more. The setup I have currently I just don't carry with me. I want to click pictures during evening and night after office, shoot people, street photography...get used to shooting. So I am on the lookout for a body and lens to have with me everyday and get used to shooting, with manual, playing around with all the settings and master them.

Really annoying Dehancer locks you to whichever software you purchased the plugin for, it should be useable for all NLES instead of re-buying it for each program. Especially given the hefty price tag they're asking for.
