you must be a very adventurous man, to set up camp in very heavy rain and thunderstorm. I expect if you want this kind of adventure must give you a buzz and fulfillment "you done it mate" it will be another challenge next day when you need to dismantle the whole thing👍👍

We don't get the kind of rain that falls straight down here. We get winds of anything up to 80mph and temps as low as -10 😆 The vents would leak and the poles aren't strong enough. Means we carry more weight but it's needed. Love the video. Mesmerising. Best wishes from 🏴

A BIG plus for this subscriber ~ NO dialogue , just the gentle sound of the rain and distant thunder. I almost conked out watching it...I didn't, so I had a better idea; close to bedtime, I'll watch it again and know I'll fall asleep. (No sleeping pills or sleep tea!!) Thank You!! Sending you the Best in Safety & Great Health!!

Hey Andy how you doing today? Thank you for replying to my comment that I made yesterday. I would like to make a suggestion or two and you can decide if you think they'll benefit you.1) you can take newspaper or any kind of paper I think roll it up really tight tight as you can get it wrap wire around it like you're putting rubber bands around a pipe as many as you think are necessary. Then you soak it in water, the paper. Then you put it somewhere where it can dry. Then when you want to have a fire by your tent you can use those as starter. I would definitely put them once they are dry in a plastic bag so the matter how much rain comes along they stay dry. 2) over here in the States they sell a log that's about 3 in in diameter and they're made by compressing sawdust into wax. So you end up with these wax fire logs. If you can get something like that or make something like that, I would try and keep them in the 3 in tall or 4 in tall. That way if the whole thing catches on fire you're not dealing with an inferno. It's something that you can control and put inside your little fireplace not the big one with the stack that sticks out of the roof but the smaller metal one that you use for putting sticks in when you are having your mini fires.3) now this third item, you would know better than I do because you live around bamboo. Does bamboo burn when it is dry? If so, get some bamboo dry it out and then you can carry 12-in long pieces all tied together on the back or as you see fit as you're hiking. The point is is when you get the whole place set up the tent and you're ready to go and you want to have a fire, instead of looking around for wood that's probably wet, you could split the bamboo from top to bottom and make wedges that you could put inside of your little fire place and it would be dry and it should burn like wood I'm assuming.4) take cotton balls and rub in petroleum jelly, a small amount of jelly. Put the cotton balls in a plastic sandwich bag with a Ziploc lid. When you want to start a fire you just pull out one cotton ball put it on a stick light it up with your lighter and it will flame up and it's a good fire starter you put the tinder on top of that and the way you go.5) look for one of those feral rods I think it's called a ferrous rod and Stryker. That way if you don't have a Bic lighter or if it's wet and the lighter won't work you can use the Stryker to create sparks to start the cotton balls on fire. If you want some really cool ideas look at this channel on KZbin OUTDOOR BOYS. On their channel if you go to their playlists you'll notice that they have 20 different ways to start a fire. This guy lives in Alaska and it's super wild up there. Check his videos out they're super entertaining, you'll never hear any cussing, and it's a really good family type of channel even your kids can watch it and you never have to worry about things they don't need to hear. You take care of yourself and peace from Oregon
