Thank you. We've had two deaths in our family recently...two funerals in seven days. I sent the poem "Do The Next Thing" to my family last week as that is all I know to do. Listening to this was very timely.

This was so fun to listen to! It helps me see you in a different light, and I really like it! ❤ Also, I have an Adeline but we don't call her Addy either. We use her name Adeline.

We also have an Adelaide! My husband and I loved the name, but I was also worried about the “addy” nickname, so her assigned nickname is Laida (lay-da)

Thank you for the wonderful update on Winnie!! Also, you may know, drink kombucha for any upper respiratory illness. Drink the brand “GT’s “. He makes his fermentation process the correct way. To God be the glory for healing Winnie.

Thank you for sharing this. We're in a 9 month long season of perseverance and this has been a huge encouragement. I've been having this "I just do" attitude about things and it has been still difficult, especially in the last couple of weeks. We've experienced 2 miscarriages in the first 6 months of this year and have just found out this month that my husband is losing his job (along with our health insurance) earlier this month at the beginning of November and then found out we're expecting again 3 days later. I personally am exhausted from this entire year all while still working (remotely) full time while caring for our very energetic toddler and home. God is still good through it all and I am so grateful for the marriage He has given me because through all this it has made us stronger rather than weaken our marriage. I know He'll provide for our needs but it doesn't means aren't hard and I'll/we'll continue "to just do."

Thank you for the encouragement. I recently published a blog article and got some pushback/comments that were hurtful because of my stance on the topic. Some just read the title and made assumptions and were critical. I appreciate the way you urge people to speak truth in love.

Our family and many others at our church have just this random horrendous cough!!! It's ridiculous LOL and they all cough like a set of falling dominoes, not in unison, just one right after the other.

I’ve dealt with this since I was about 14. I didn’t know it was this “common.” It’s been a source of grief for me but ultimately I thank the lord that this is my issue and not something major like cancer or some other huge life altering trial!

I had no idea you struggled with trichotillomania. I do too. but never call it that for fear of labeling myself and being stuck ha. I wonder how common it actually is.

This was such a great episode! I struggle so much with engaging in political discussions - not so much out of fear of being cancelled by those that disagree with me, but out of a fear of doing it wrong- as in not speaking truth in love in the right way or by misrepresenting scripture and consequently turning people away or creating more division. But I related to Abbie’s story about being so convicted to speak out that she was having contractions due to stress. I often wake up in the night immediately thinking about issues like abortion. This morning I read in psalm 19:53 “hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked who forsake your law” and could totally relate. It’s just hard to know what to do with it, but I think voting is probably the least we can do.

I have TOTALLY enjoyed these conversations! Thank you for taking the time to do this podcast! We need to be reminded that Trump is not perfect and he alone cannot save our nation... And on the other hand, if the opposite side is voted in, God is still good.. Still sovereign and still in control! ❤

I am torn. I do find it difficult to separate politics from the man. King David came before Jesus. Jesus put an end to promiscuity.

Wow! So powerful! Thank you for sharing - especially the part about how our flesh wants that impressiveness! The Lord has worked on that pride within me over these last 4 years since I graduated from architecture school to now working as a preschool teacher. I’ve said, “I’m just…” many of times when people ask what I do. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah that I no longer feel ashamed or just but I feel a need to boast in the Lord’s will that is beyond a career title, how much money I have in the bank, or what I’ve accomplished by this age!

Love your podcast! I just gobble it upbevery week! 💜 One little thing-the coin-in-the-fish-to-pay-taxes reference isn’t a tax paid to the Romans (Matthew 17:24-27). It was a Jewish temple tax established originally in Exodus 30 as an offering/for atonement for Jewish men over 20 counted during the census. I just read this in Matthew and then making my way through the OT so it’s fresh in my mind. 😅
