Played this earlier and recorded it from the recording so that the stick noises would not be on the video. This kit has great sound. I used a Klipsch blue tooth speaker for an amp.

You think the kit has great sound? If you seriously think that kit has good sounds, you probably never have heard an accustic drum set or a much better e-kit with superior sounds. The Nitro Max or just about any e-kit from Alesis is more of a toy to emulate a drum set. The Strata Prime e-kit is the only e-kit Alesis has that actually plays and sounds like a drum kit should, and the only e-kit from Alesis worth buying. You will have fun with the Nitro Max and learn the basics to drumming, but once you mastered it, you will want to upgrade it or buy a better e-kit so you can have all the zones and nuances of what an accustic or high-end e-kit can do. I get that lower-end e-kits are appealing since they are not super expensive. If you truly want to learn drums properly, you need an e-kit that functions just as a drum set should. All the cymbals should be triple zone, the toms should be duel zone, the hi-hat should be on a stand, and the snare should do rim shots, crossstick, and do all the correct sounds. A setup like that will allow you play just about anything, and if yo go to play an accustic drum set, it will be seamless without a relearning curve.

Thanks Dean. Great job! I hope to see more. I just got my Meinl turbo cajon. It’s a little smaller than yours and it has a pick up on the side. I use it when my band. gets together informally to work out songs we’re planning to play without having to break out my whole drum kit, amps and electric guitars. I have just fallen in love with it. Great video, man,

It's a snare similar to a snare on any Cajon more like a tambourine sound because these are for lower volume type music usually unplugged with acoustic guitars

I don't own a slaptop yet, only repeating what others had to say on the snare: Turn the instrument upside-down, now you should see 2 small coverplates next to the rubber pads(which keep the instrument from sliding down). They are kept in place by some simple screws, remove them. Now you should be able to see the snare mechanism, which can be adjusted by tightening/loosening some screws... if that is possible on all slaptops I honestly don't know, sorry

I made a mistake in my verbage. It does not need a stucco cut. The guys that did a stucco cut years ago did not do it right. The repair they did on the bottom after they did the stucco cut fell off. It needs a repair after their stucco cut seal failed....
