How would you go about running RM ANOVA on multiple imputed datasets? I understand SPSS does not support this. Is this correct? Are there any alternative methods to use?

Hi Mike. I really, really need your help and advice. May i share my spss problem with you? i have this warning message : "Unexpected singularities in the Hessian matrix are encountered. This indicates that either some predictor variables should be excluded or some categories should be merged. The NOMREG procedure continues despite the above warning(s). Subsequent results shown are based on the last iteration. Validity of the model fit is uncertain'. I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. I am a newbie. Google, youtube, researchgate and reddit could not help me =( Could you kindly guide me?

Thanks for your video. I have a question - conceptually, what is the difference between conducting a multilevel path analysis, and the "conventional" multilevel modelling where you call the "lmer" function rather than the "sem" function?

Thanks for the video. The video is really helpful and gives clear explanations, but I still have one big question. Can I analyse gender (dichotomy), marital status (dummy), and income (numeric) all at once in an analysis? I really hope @mikecrowson2462 can answer this. Many thanks!

@Mike Crowson this video is very helpful moderator and independent variables in my research model are both categorical with two levels each. dependent variable is continuous i have applied research model 8 and but i don't know how to interpret directional conditional effects... should i look at conditional effects to assess the results of the moderation?

Dear Crowson, after I followed your steps in this nice video and tried to analyze I got this massage from the out put: ERROR: You have specified an M variable in a model that does not use it. so what is the matter, please?

Make sure you have correctly set the model number. It's 4 for simple or parallel mediation and 6 for serial mediation. Also make sure you have your mediators in the M box.

Great explanation. Very useful. So, if understand correctly, there's no way of conducting a 1-1-1 mediation, at least in lavaan, without having to specify an equation at Level 2, right? And for that, you have to establish some sort of relationship between variables at level 2. I wonder what's the equivalence of doing this when using multilevel regression (conceptually or based on the syntax), which I'm more familiar with. Note that I just want to understand the equivalence, I know that in multilevel regression you wouldn't be able to accomodate various equations. In other words, specifying a simple equationin lavaan such as prvoice ~ feltob at level 1, and prvoice ~~ feltob at level 2 (and then using the sem function specifying teamcode as the clustering variable)... Would it be lmer(prvoice ~ feltob + (1 | teamcode) with these data?

I suppose you could test for invariance if you wanted to; but there is no stipulation of effects are invariant across levels. One of the reasons for multilevel analysis in the first place is that relationships at higher levels may differ from those at lower levels.

First of all, thank you sir. I would refrain from naming the program in my article, but I can write Jamovi. I have a question. There are serious differences between the results of my analysis with AMOS and Jamovi for the same factors on the same data. GFI, CFI and even RMSEA and RMR values are different. Even within Jamovi, there are differences between its own CF analysis and SEM. Why could it be?

Thank you so much, Mike! Can I use the same technique for ordinal logistic regression as well? I am struggling with a big dataset where I have 162 countries and 20 years of data, and my DV is ordered, so I am trying to create a fixed-effect Ordinal model using this technique. If yes, where will I place the dummy variables-- in covariates or factors in the regression box? Sorry for the long-winded comment, but could really use the help 🙏

Thank you for your explanation, I learnt a lot. But how to account for more independent variables in the model? From what I can see in the video, we can only have one IV under X variable. Thank you!
@mikecrowson2462
@mikecrowson2462 Ай бұрын
Process is set up for a single X and a single Y. However, you could 'trick' Process into testing mediation using multiple X's by running a series of models with one X as IV and the remaining X's as covariates. The indirect effect in each model would be associated with the X treated as the IV in each model. Alternatively, you might run path analysis using an SEM program. Hope that helps. Cheers!
