Click and HardTalk were the jewels in the BBC News Channel's crown. Can't believe that they've axed their two greatest shows. The beginning of the end for BBC News Channel, as far as I'm concerned.

It was actually taken from Mike Batts musical, Hunting of the snark sung by Captain Sensible here and on th original concept album and in the Royal Albert hall concert. When it was staged fully in the West end it was played by Kenny Everette. He was great in the role! Shame the show was a financial flop. But thats showbiz!

I don't know if you're aware, but you sound like you're not, that The Big Breakfast was actually brought back to Channel 4 in 2021 and 2022 for five new editions. The first was a one-off special in 2021, and was filmed in the original house. Then a four-part series was commissioned for Saturday mornings in 2022, from a new location in Potters Bar. It was critically well received, but the ratings were unfortunately very low. There are currently no future episodes planned. I think the recent revival shows are available to stream on Channel 4, so it might be worth taking a look to see if they live up (Or down) to your expectations.

Such memories! Me and my mates got thrown out of the chippy opposite The Dome nightclub in Birmingham for persistently asking for Chicken in a Basket and when the bloke behind the counter went nuts and said “stop asking for chicken in a basket” we got in a line and performed Chicken in a Basket complete with dance routine 😂😂 he barred us 😂
