As of May 2024. Chris Chan has been topped by Andy Ditch (aka The Poopsquatch). Andy makes Chris look like Jesus. Andy Ditch fakes autism, forces his kinks on his family and just straight up abuses them. He's now at a shelter from what I've heard, but he gets mad at hospitals for not treating him like a baby, even though he's gonna be 40 in June 2025.

6:36-6:40: The R slur shouldn’t be used. It’s a nice review but I don’t think the r word should be need. It’s offensive and dated. The lyrics make very little sense in Doug’s review.

Most of these Halloween movies aren’t even that bad. The way I look at it, it’s a slasher/teen horror not Shawshank redemption. People watch the first Halloween and listen to John carpenter interviews and feel like everything past the 1978 version was a disaster. It’s literally a guy in a mask as long as you got good kills and suspense there’s your movie. I never thought it was that deep
@dominiccorcoran8033Ай бұрын
That’s a completely fair assessment. However, I must disagree. Even if it’s just a teen slasher, it doesn’t mean that it has to be ill-made or silly. Watching some of the sequels (revenge, curse, resurrection and kills among them) definitely feels like the filmmakers aren’t giving them as much care as they should. John Carpenter’s Halloween is seen as a classic for several reasons, but chief among them is how much care he gave it during production. It’s one of those horror movies you can rewatch again and again and not be bored. Season of the Witch falls into a similar category- it’s not the original, but it’s leagues better than most of the michael-focused films. A slasher film can be artful, and an art film can be dark and full of murder. There’s a reason why film is such a versatile medium - it’s not a fixed concept. In other words, what I mean to say is that while I respect your opinion, I think movies like some of the Halloween sequels deserve the hate they get - not because they’re wholly bad, but because the filmmakers didn’t try. A boring movie is worse than a bad one, in my opinion.

Okay, just because Laurie called Annie "baby," it doesn't mean they're dating. A woman Laurie loves like a sister is dying in her arms. Laurie is heartbrokem, terrified, she's in denial, and yet she's still trying to comfort her friend and herself. I don't know if this was what Zombie was going for, but "baby" as an endearment between female friends is also a country thing. Most times I call friends "sweetheart" or "honey," but I get called "baby" nearly every day. So it sounds natural to me.
@thechickapedia1175Ай бұрын
Thank you. I came here to say this. I call my besties love or babe all the time (I’m not southern though)
@hikkchikАй бұрын
@@thechickapedia1175 I'm not southern, either. I'm Kentucky Hillbilly and proud. lol. Anyway, even if they were a couple, who cares? Why does everyone go there the second Laurie calls her baby? That's not the big issue in the scene. Laurie is losing someone she loves dearly. That's the point. Plus this is Rob Zombie. I'm pretty sure if they were a couple, he would have made it VERY plain. I love Zombie, but subtlety is NOT his forte.
@thechickapedia1175Ай бұрын
@@hikkchik I literally never thought that only because if my ride or die bestie who is basically my sister had that happened to her…. Well I’d probably be wailing like a banshee, but I would call her baby I’m sure
@hikkchikАй бұрын
@@thechickapedia1175 I know YOU didn't think that. I wasn't saying you did. No, it's mostly the male reviewers who make comments about "were they supposed to be a couple? Why does Laurie call her baby?" I've heard a couple reviewers other than this guy say it. Man, they would have had a field day with one of my dad's friends. He called EVERYONE "honey." Not just females, men, children, even pets. 🤣 He used it that way some people used to use "Dude."

One more thing. While I like your video, I want to point out that when "White Chicks" is criticized, they ignore dominant culture power dynamics. "Loqueesha" is punching down on a marginalised group. "White Chicks" isn't. Other than that, good video.
