I have a problem with this tool, it's a KTM 250 2T The tool has not been used for almost a year This week I found time to take care of it, I did a fuel-oil change, I cleaned the filter plug, everything, finally I tried to start it, but the car could not start. It only started with carburetor spray and shut off straight away From that I understood that the carburetor needed to be cleaned and that's how I did it. Now the problem is different, the motorcycle drives straight up to very, very high turns I played with the air-fuel screw but unfortunately it didn't help. Is there a situation where the problem is different? Something in the carburetor maybe? need help please

hey what is the difference between normal spray paint and spray paint that is made to be a base coat? is it just a primer?
@andrewschwartz_
@andrewschwartz_ 8 ай бұрын
Been a while since I last looked at the can, but if I remember right the color coat is slightly transparent, so the primer/base will show through.

Glad you made this vid. I just did a similar job on a spring for my electric unicycle and in the metalcast red. It looks beautiful but had the same concerns as you. Good to see it holds up well!

I used brush on paint stripper to remove all my paint, then glass media blasting finished it off, inside the coil and out. You didn't demonstrate flipping the spring to paint the base coil and full coverage of your top down paint application.

Quick question I have a cr250r as well this weekend I took it out to ride and once I was revving it a bit to warm it up I took it for a spin then kept revving it a bit and out of no where it starts to over rev itself and I try to push the kill switch and it didn't work then I unplugged the spark plug wire and it didn't work then I turned off the fuel and disconnected a fuel line and then after a bit it shut off. What can be the cause of that? Maybe needs a new carb?
@andrewschwartz_
@andrewschwartz_ Жыл бұрын
Do you have an aftermarket head? The self-ignition part is pointing towards wayyy too much compression+heat. This would also explain the rpm.
@Body_Dropped
@Body_Dropped Жыл бұрын
@andrewschwartz_ no the guy I got the bike from said he rebuilt it and it's the stock engine
@andrewschwartz_
@andrewschwartz_ Жыл бұрын
Regardless, self-ignition is not good. Maybe you accidentally filled er up with diesel and it was able to ignite? Sounds goofy but check that first. If not it's probably not a bad idea to do a compression test and change spark plugs or check your top-end clearances entirely. I don't think this has much to do with your carb. @@Body_Dropped

So was it just idling high at start ? I have the same slide problem , It idles really high at start but then comes down to normal. If the idle problem isn’t my slide cool. Otherwise I’m gonna try to braze it. 7:03

So I removed my carburetor to have someone rebuild it and when I put it back on I was struggling to put the airbox back in place, I don’t think I connected it probably to the carb. This is definitely the cause right?

May I suggest not having the keeper piece on the left of the blade. The off cut should not be the piece that is between the blade and fence. This should increase your accuracy and speed.

@@andrewschwartz_ this way you are measuring the distance from the blade to the fence and what size you want you piece to be instead of figuring out how much material has to come off of your piece of wood. My rule of thumb as well is if I can make an L with my right hand and place it against the fence and my thumb will touch the blade that I use a push stick of some kind.

Hang boards are used to increase grip strength for rock climbing. That’s what all the holds at varying depths are for. You’re supposed to mount them on an overhang like a doorway.

@andrewschwartz_
@andrewschwartz_ 2 жыл бұрын
Great. It’s protected from the back wheel, so there’s not really any risk of rocks unless you get roosted by another bike. As far as from compression, still no cracks or flakes in the paint. Just use a good quality spray paint and don’t take any shortcuts and it should be fine.

I need help. I fell off of my bike doing a wheelie like a moron. I had to replace the silencer, because the hanger was bent. The header pipe has a slight bend, but the new fmf slid right on and I put the bolts in. It starts fine. If I rev it, it will continue to stay loud. Air screw position is within spec. Idle screw doesn’t really do anything. It just holds the rev even when I’m not revving it. The bike also goes by itself without any throttle. When I have the kickstand down it will move on it’s own. Also when I fell off my throttle was stuck. I took the throttle apart and I fixed that issue. Throttle feels normal. Please help if you can. Thanks.

@@willhelphingstine7494 that was a while ago, but I remember adjusting the throttle cable by the throttle. That got rid of the high idle issue and yours most likely needs to be adjusted correctly. I watched a video on how to mess with the throttle cable and ended up getting it done correctly pretty quickly for my first time messing with the cable.
