Strange that this unit get so much hate below. Mine was charged once 4 years ago and after starting multiple cars with V6 engines and motorcycles with single and V engines (these are harder to start than most cars). I still had 50% charge. I recently recharged it just to be sure it will work when needed. The only gripe I have is that snaps holding case together broke recently on one side (4 year old unit) so I use silicone wrist band to help is stay together. It still works fine and holds charge for long time.

Piece of junk. It drains to 0 just sitting in a few weeks. It has jumped a car for me when it was charged.

The camera is ok, but not great. It doesn't have a 20mp image sensor so any image is just resized by the cameras firmware which doesnt give pin sharp images. The close up images are ok as well, but the middle to far distance is very blotchy with poor colour saturation. This camera only costs £50 so it cant be compared to any camera costing 5 times the price. It is what it is, a good budget action cam and nothing more. It also doesn't help when you try to demonstrate the capabilities of a 4K camera, by uploading in Ultra Low Definition.

how deos one use this as a webcam

I have just purchased the x20c and am getting used to using it. I tested it while hiking by mounting it to a chest strap from Amazon. Hike was 45 minutes but I noticed the video didn’t continuously record the whole time. It did record a few videos at various points in the hike but each vid stopped just shy of 10 minutes long. Is there a setting for video length? How can I get one continuous video for about 45 minutes long? Thanks!

Old video (randomly stumbled across). If using the flash straight on (only time the zoom is used and leads to flat unflattering images), it is best not to match the focal length in the zoom. The more you zoom, the more the structure of the reflector and fresnel lens becomes visible in light, thus it becomes more uneven. furthermore, it can look really bad indoors where you will get a narrow light falloff behind the subject. In most situations, a GN60 flash will have enough output power light the subject without zooming in, and the less zoom you can get away with on the flash head, the better the lighting will be, though at the cost of reduced battery life since it will use a higher output power to light the subject. Outside of that, if indoors, you should be trying to bounce the flash whenever possible, as that will give softer and more flattering light. If outside where the light cannot be bounced, then it is best to use a larger diffuser if possible, or if not, then a direct flash at the widest setting, as a tiny point light source will typically get the deer in the headlights type look.

Thank you. I bought this camera after watching. Video & photos excellent. Works great as dashcam and easily movable wifi security camera or video baby monitor. very versatile. Lens slightly distorts angles when close up to give wider angles for action cam use but all round good performer and good value.

This isn't a fix but I've found the same issue while using some older Nikon (Nikkor) lenses and even some newer DX lenses. When using some older lenses the zoom will change. It also worked with my 14-24, I think. Frustrating, but at least we might begin to figure out when to expect it to work and when it won't.

Absolute shit. Focus is soft, has a blue tint which can't be color corrected. If you want to waste 8K on a projector, go ahead!!
