They declined my request to join and they didn't explain exactly why. That's unfair.

I have a soft spot for this place as I learned to play guitar there. I used to live there about 50 years ago. I revisited - maybe 3 years ago and it's a little too conventional nowadays with lots of rules. It used to have an exotic and slightly dangerous feel to it. I found it not too expensive because I ate and drank in local places like Zam Zams Indian restaurant - still there from when I lived there. If I could find somewhere where they still play electric guitars I would go back.

Finding employment in Munich can be quite challenging, especially for outsiders. The job market tends to favor those already residing in the city, making it tough for newcomers to break in. I've been trying for quite a while now.

First way of making friends, besides the work place, is to enter a club (local sports club, music club, choir, voluntary fire brigade, marksman confraternity, carnival association, etc.). Meeting people with the same interests, brings people toogether and Germans like to be part of a club.

What is the criteria for the ranking ?
@internations6 ай бұрын
Hi! This is based on the Expat Insider, a survey we conducted with our expat members, representing 177 nationalities, and living in 172 countries or territories. You can find more information on the rating factors, the sample size, and other aspects of the survey methodology in our full report: www.internations.org/expat-insider/

@@internations Thanks for coming back to me. Yeah I was wondering whether it was sentiment versus facts, as I find it odd compared to be the worst compared to global cities like London, New York, Paris etc. The biggest issue in Dublin (and Ireland generally) wrt Housing, is capacity building issues. Apart from Interest rate hikes and Nimbyism planning objections, we have legacy post Economic crash issues what may take another 5-10 years to resolve i.e. we don't have enough skilled tradespersons to meet the demand. So if Dublin is the worst, then it's going to be the worst for some considerable number of years to come, unfortunately.
