@pyritevАй бұрын
it's actually using it for quite a bit! i believe the SOC is what facilitates most of the I/O features that make it more like an actual 'computer' than the average famiclone or at least, that's what the datasheets seem to suggest

@@noaht2005 it seems like there's crazy window rendering bullshit going on that wouldn't be easily done on the NES + all of the screens that would full up CHR-ROM without mapper tricks. also rendering Chinese. just... rendering Chinese

How did you even get the emulator in the first place? The only page that seems to have it only has the source code, which I know nothing about how to compile.
@pyritevАй бұрын
You need Visual Studio 2022. Launch the .sln file in the VirtuaNES folder and build it from there. It needs to be built as x86, and you might need to hunt down DirectX library files and put them in C:\DirectXSDK\Lib\x86 (I got them from here: github.com/milliet/DDReader/tree/master/c/sdk-directx9/Lib) I wasn't able to build a release version, or else I'd share that. Sorry.
@gmestanley221422 күн бұрын
She compiled it herself, but there is in fact a .zip with a release of the emulator posted in the BootlegGames Central server on Discord.
@pyritev22 күн бұрын
I should add: there is going to be a release of NintendulatorNRS soon that adds support for the SB2000 and other computers that these VirtuaNES forks have. It's slated to release in the next week or so.
@Hijiri_MIRACHION22 күн бұрын
@@pyritev Ah, that'll be exciting! There's a certain obscure NES computer (as in I can't even find a video of it obscure) that I had been interested in but never was able to get to run right anywhere. It actually seems to be in the archive of Famiclone computers too (as Learn_Win98).
@gmestanley2214Күн бұрын
Also, as an added note, CodeBlocks can read .sln files too.

@pyritev I was moreso just commenting on the fact that both versions of the songs were in different keys making some nasty resulting mashup, but I'm guessing that was just part of the bit. I can't fully tell, I apologize.
