I have a Rekluse rear brake lever on my KTM dirt bike. I'd love one on a track bike. I can't effectively use the rear brake going into right had turns with the foot brake.

Was there much air in the morning, just want to know if it is worth doing the overnight test? Nice technique, don't be like me and use a pharmacy syringe, the have too small an outlet for the hose and can spray back at you.

I see you use Ohlins cartridges, do you use modified Enduro or Mx version? What spring rate do you recommend for 90kg rider? What fork length and oil level should I aim for asphalt only?

Good advice is to be careful on using the 1001 near the brake discs because is you got 1001 in the brake discs the bike will not brake so good and do lots of noise.
@PutolineOil2 ай бұрын
Great addition to using 1001 Penetrating + PTFE as you don't want greasy brake discs 🤜🏼🤛🏼

On stock caliper you guys prefer a 15 master over 14?
@SUPERMOTOLAND3 ай бұрын
we have never tried a 14, so maybe something to test? we kind of like the feel of the 15 and its a reliable unit.

Very Nice bike. How does the quickshifter work in this one? No sp shifter? Also do you or Loris have any idea what difference this bike makes in terms of laptimes compared to a stock husqvarna fs?
@SUPERMOTOLAND3 ай бұрын
On the 2023 and 24 bikes the QS is activated by a sensor within the gearbox and is controlled within the vortex ecu. I would guess this bike would be 1 to 2 seconds a lap quicker (depending on the track length) compared to a well set up stock fs450.

Ive read the husqvarna sits ten mill lower, on a rough country road hight helps if you break traction but on a Rtrack i would have thought the bike needs dropping,,

Mine is completely empty because its a all new system so how do i get the fluid from the resovoir to the lines and caliper?
@SUPERMOTOLAND3 ай бұрын
i just use a syringe and fill everything up from the caliper. you have to be gentle or the tube will pop off but open everything top and bottom and syringe a load of fluid in there until you see it come out the top......this work for the fs450, for a road bike it might not work due to abs system etc

Thanks for the video. My bike's brake fluid flush is long overdue, and I am thinking on using this method, just the other way around, mean sucking all the old fluid from the reservoir, topping it with fresh fluid, and sucking it from the caliper using a syringe and a hose... your method seems fine, but I fear pushing air into the system, my bike has ABS and I hear that if any air bubble make it into the ABS pump, pushing them out can be a pain in the a*se... what you reckon?
@luketerry17452 ай бұрын
If the system already has fluid in it, flushing it through from the top is easiest. This method is for when the system is completely dry after a full rebuild

5 to 10 hours with putoline. i look in the level glass, if it looks black then i change it early

Very interesting, looking forward to the next video! I'm also curious what hours intervals you normally use for a B-Kit bike regarding the piston and crank. Just the hours intervals that Husqvarna recommends or do you deviate from those?
@SUPERMOTOLAND4 ай бұрын
i am stripping the engine down as we speak and i will make another video next week once i have had a chance to measure everything. The way i work is that i usually build an engine with new piston at the beginning of the season and just let it run over hours in the off season for training. I find there is no real drop in performance of oem pistons with putoline oils. so 50 to 100 hours on a piston is good and 150 hours on the crank (maybe more if i feel lucky lol)......but it does depend on good maintenance and a nice pilot who is not rev happy lol

Very informative video, as always! I guess the Vortex ECU is the only way to tune the fuel injection map, rather than flashing the stock ECU?
@SUPERMOTOLAND4 ай бұрын
I think you can reflash the oem ecu, but the vortex gives more options. i especially like the fuel trims dials and the 10 map selection dial that allows the user to try different things without connecting to a laptop. i tend to test on the dyno and then fine tune the maps at a track as we have an onboard lambda sensor and can review data through an aim solo 2dl connected to the vortex.

Does the holes on the air box difference on dyno?
@SUPERMOTOLAND4 ай бұрын
No difference on the dyno. But i do it so i am sure on the track we always have air even if the riders leg is close
@Ordieee4 ай бұрын
Does the vortex ECU also give you the possibility to alter the sensitivity of the OEM Quickshifter? Or only the cutting times?

You can adjust both and set the sensor to each gear exactly

Sick, absolute on the limit, sliding the rear with the hand brake and then instant turning the bike for a good exit while losing the balance and catching it. Poetry in motion I really need to come out and learn from loris because im fast but not yet that fast😅
