I can’t stop buying these. 3 now from the series and tons of fun modding. Necks on these are my favorite Fender profile and you can’t find the straight up C shape in many true blue fender models outside the short scale duo Sonic. Love these, they go on sale a lot too for Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc

I have had these guitars on my radar for a little while. The less expensive natural finish versions are made in china, so some people say they are of lower quality compared to the canadian ones. But they are an amazing value for the money. A good solid top acoustic electric guitar for 400 bucks! What a deal. Even yamaha can't beat that.

I've got a Stingray with plain maple neck (I can't see the fret dots on a dark stage amongst the pretty RS roasted maple neck pattern option) as my main gigging guitar, playing a ballsy country honk through a Peavey Classic rig and a Tom Bukovac style set of stacked pedals. My other guitar right now is a Musicman Valentine. I'm not 100% convinced about it's the single coil sound and I can't see the fret dots when quickly glancing down whilst singing lots of harmony vocals on dark stages, so I'm looking at options. The Sabre has, for me, sweeter tones than the Stingray, Luke and Albert Lee HH, but as this video asks, if I want all the in-between sounds, why not play a Strat ? Although for me, a "Strat" would be a Musicman Silhouette, or maybe a PRS Brent Mason or a Duesenberg Paloma (proper Strats give me that single coil teeth itch issue again). Choices eh ?? Then again, to have one guitar doing it all live would be an advantage, but maybe less variance in the studio ? Are we all mad ??

Nice pickin’! I think the guitar really sounds great too. What are your thoughts? I have an Academy 12 that I love (sweet for fingerstyle), but find it on the quiet side.

Have to disagree about the chambering--it's not a fully hollow body, but it's definitely chambered.

Since my last post for this video, I bought a Mark VII to compare with my Mark V. They are very different amps, albeit with common heritage. I thought the Mark VII would replace my Mark V, but I was wrong. They each have their own charm, and I love both. After two days of testing both side by side, first through a 4x12 OS cab and then through a 2x12 recto cab, I really can't say one is better than the other or even equivalent to the other. And I don't prefer one over the other for modern, heavy tones. I'm keeping both for the variety of tones available between them, and will buy a Mesa Head-Track for easy access to 6 channels of Mark greatness. Having two different flavours of fat, crunch, IIC+ and IV modes, as well as Extreme and VII modes, is just amazing. One thing to note - if you're playing these amps with a real cab at home, I strongly recommend an attenuator to get them each to sound their best. My Toneking Ironman II pairs wonderfully with both V and VII, and enhances the playing experience.

This video is really hard to watch with the older guy barely able to stand the drunk or drugged up co-host, and the demo of these two amps was a fail IMHO, these amps have way more to offer in tone....they get really sizzlin when you dial them in!

I ordered this exact model and color for under $200 specifically to modify. I expected there to be sharp frets, string buzz, a bad nut etc...to my surprise the guitar came damn near ready to play. Frets were fine, the nut was decent. The pickups were decent for the price..had that tele twang.

I just recently purchased this guitar, and I immediately had to send it back. I was so bummed because it's a great looking guitar, but the quality control just wasn't there. The pickup had broken off from the inside and was dangling by some wires. It was poorly glued to the top of the body. The action was pretty high as well making it a bit uncomfortable to play and though the sound overall was nice, but the projection was a bit weak. I think in this price range you can find a more quality guitar. I was really disappointed.

My wife gave me this guitar for my Birthday some months ago...She bought it at Cosmo, at Richmond Hill...after many conversations at the store, we were agree in buying a Canadian product, made by Canadian People....we are against "Made in China" products. I love my Guitar. I am not Professional, i am an absolutely begginer...listening this amazing demo, is like feeling the breeze of the Canadian forest, the precious Winter kissing the windows in a Cabin in Restoule...So amazing piece of Art, it is has been one of the most beautiful gifts i have had in my life...thanks for this such amazing and lovely video, you play so amazing!
