such is the problem with Targaryen women, what can any groom offer them that they already don't have in abundance? It's no shocker they married either their brothers, cousins, Velaryons or no one at all. A son may elevate his wife's station but not the other way round it seems.

Is it just me or is it weird that anyone can just say the royal family names without their titles? Like Jason Lannister says "Rhaenyra" without adding at least a princess in front of it and then "young Aegon" without a Prince too. I get Otto Hightower doing it because he doesn't respect Rhaenyra and it was in private, but random nobility can just refer to royalty by name willy-nilly.

Like in Chinese history, all of the royal family is just referred to by their title and ranking within the royal hierarchy. They don't even say the birth name unless it's their second/formal name given to them alongside a new title. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but it's been bugging me throughout the series. 😅

Rhaenys is completely wrong here, a women can't be queen not because of qualifications but because she does exactly what the male princes and kings do which is to fuck other people, and produce bastards. Except that when a lord does it he can just disavow the bastered but with the queen she probably won't do that.
