After 15 years of independent research, I can confidently say that I've proved that Charles Dickens was not the original author of "A Christmas Carol;" nor did he write the opening line. That was written by Mathew Franklin Whittier, younger brother of the famous American Quaker poet, John Greenleaf Whittier. Mathew and his wife Abby were the real, original authors. They wrote it as a spiritualist redemption story, and it was Abby's intention that all the supernatural elements be authentic according to the esoteric sources she had studied. It was Dickens who dumbed it down and secularized it into a ghost story.

We have had our copy of the book ready on our shelf for a while now. We can’t wait for Christmas School!

I so agree with all the wonderful things you mention about "A Christmas Carol." I would also suggest families look for a theatre production local to them to enjoy this season. I am appearing in an interactive professional production of this play this season and using it as the core of our homeschooling. While my kids have heard the story and seen a variety of movies on the subject, I want them to be really educated about the history of the story as well as the cultural references contained within when they come to the production. Thanks for promoting this wonderfully timeless story! And, if anyone is in the Boone, NC area this holiday season, come out to see us at The Appalachian Theatre. :)

Me as a middle schooler they have almost all the hazardous tales by Nathan hale and I have to say that this graphic novels are masterpieces

I love The Narnia Chronicles so much that I introduced them to my kids. My granddaughter just turned 4, so I'm going to introduce her to a more simple version of them soon. I'm so thankful Lewis didn't give up. The LOTR books are awesome, too.

My 9yo son has gotten really pulled into learning about history because of his books! Highly recommend all of them! He loves the series!

I needed that encouragement that kids dont need to get so single minded on their preferred craft at the time. And that we should let them experiment with different things like coding and teaching them how to run a business. We do those things but they feel pointless to my kid who loves writing so it just helps to know she does need this exposure.
