is there a way you found dB is equal to that or is this just a general equation. I didn't find it in my book and my professor is really bad and never mentioned it any lectures. Does it come from ampere's law?

By integrating the current over dt ,does that give me the graph of charge Q against time? As the energy is stored in magnetic field, does the graph of Q vs time even make sense or it should be magnetic field we should be looking for. Thank you.

But explanation doesn't hold well when the charge is moving perpendicular to the wire still experiencing magnetic force

The way he approached the problem in new way with frontend glass backend he is standing giving different perspective 3:27 . It's means that he's thinking about viewers perspective. Good try 🎉 background black contrast also maintained well. I liked it. 🎉❤

Nice Craig,but you need to do the mirroring thing or whatever it’s called so what other people see is readable. It’s all reversed, but you probably know that.

There is one problem. In first scenario force is zero when test charge is not moving so there is no interaction. In second scenario even if test charge is stationary there is a force :) When test charge is moving whith a speed equal 1/2 of electrons in a wire then it "sees" protons moving in one direction and electrons in opposite direction and then net charge is zero -> electric force is zero -> no interaction -> Lorentz force does not works -> faulty phisics :D

where did the integration go lol??
@CraigWLooney Жыл бұрын
The integral of dL around the full loop is the circumference of the loop which is equal to 2*pi*R
@moodman6426 Жыл бұрын
@@CraigWLooney how would It look with like the integration boundaries? Would it be integration (length max) - integration (length min) so just 2pir-0?
@CraigWLooney Жыл бұрын
If you integrating with respect to L (with "dL" infinitesimal length) you could pick a point on the circle and call it L=0 and then integrate L all the way around the circle back to that same point and call it L=C (where C is circumference, equal to 2*pi*R). Or, you could use an angular representation and represent the infinitesimal dL as R*d(theta), and integrate this from theta=0 to theta=2*pi [and the R can "pass through" the integral sign because it is constant].

Good video. I learned this before, but I did not realize that I really just utilized the result and kind of fudged the derivation of the result. It really helps to go slowly and make sure you keep the measurements straight. It is easy to mix them up.
