Supper efficient and hardly any smoke make for long burn times . I will say though if I had to do it again I wouldn’t get a gasser . Lota maintenance to the gassers and they do require nice dry hardwood that I could be selling . The old school ones I could be feeding it strait pine logs or all my ugly pine that don’t make bundle grade .

I could care less about emissions and rather have a burner that last. I have an old central boiler and before I would pay the price for a new one I would get solar or geothermal. Something that doesn’t break your back and balls. If you have close neighbors then you probably don’t have access to free wood. If you’re buying wood you might as well pay for electric or propane. I can burn any wood I want green or not in my burner. I believe just like car companies forced to go to EV’s the wood boiler companies were forced to do this high maintenance solution to pass EPA regulations. Hopefully Trump will fix that.

Most people are surprised, but the honor system works very well. We have lots of businesses in my area that work on the honor system. You can purchase anything from fresh cow’s milk and butter, to steaks, burger, fresh baked pies, seasonal fruits and vegetables, Christmas trees, plants and flowers, and like this guy, firewood. People feel guilty stealing from you when you give them the trust to monitor their own purchases. Very rarely there will be some jerk that screws it up. Not only is the merchandise all out there, but the cash is there as well, and many times not even locked up, so that people are able to make change. We have a very popular cheesecake shop near us. Mo’s cheesecake, they do thousands in business each week, have won many awards around the country and it is all run on the honor system, very rarely you will see an employee stocking the refrigerators, but as far as making the purchase, you grab what you want and pay what it says on the price list. Kinda crazy, but it does work.

@LogCabinFirewood Ireland, the southern part, I am at the stage i have geothermal heating, solar panels and a wood pellet stove .... I do believe boilers like yours are truly amazing...the wood supply here would be an issue, soft pine wood wouldn't be as efficient as what you burn i reckon. I burn less than 5 cuft of wood in 24 hours, I was burning about 12 cu ft with my old wood stove in the house. This stove heats 3400 sq ft and my domestic hot water. Gasification stoves are top of the line when it comes to saving fuel, and emissions into the environment. Even though it was ruled in 2018 firewood is carbon neutral and of no harmful impact to the environment since our environment is made up of mostly carbon. The wood is already cut down and given to me for free, would you rather it become mulch for landscaping, or allow it to heat my home for free. 🇺🇸
