Thank you for shedding light on anorexia nervosa! I struggled with appetite loss and weakness, but Planet Ayurveda’s Weight Gain Formula and Shatavari Capsules helped me regain my strength and healthy weight. Truly grateful for their herbal approach!

You're supposed to buffer with sodium bicarbonate lest the niacin gets too acidic

Did you look into connection between allergy and schizophrenia? Schizophrenia may be caused by gluten. It's called bread madness. Also there is cannabis-induced psychosis which occurs only in some people that use cannabis. I think i maybe have schizophrenia because of sunflower allergy

@@carewser sorry to hear that, are you schizophrenic? In general if the patient suffer from schizophrenia for more than a year and less than a 5 year the cure rate (remission) is 50% according to Dr. Hoffer. You are right his treatment and approach is not perfect but at least better than the old antipsychotics drugs. Hope you are doing better.

Anyone that believes in a God needs more lithium, lol. Lithium is still the gold standard for bipolar. Tragic how capitalism drives our medical system..unless someone doesnt respond to lithium they sure as heck should not be directed to the pharma meds. I had my own terribles with those and witness friends litterally having their perdonaliyies, choiced hijacked with the pharmas. Psychedelics are the promise,future my psch retired from med mangemnt to focus on the psychedelics. Lithium lithium my best friend.😊

Unfortunately this is no longer holding true with newer research by Dr Martijn Arns. My take is because more are presenting with increased theta hence no longer standing out as a marker. Suspect is a generational change due to excessive TV and gaming. Even norm database comparisons don't seem to highlight theta as much as they used to. In adults, slowed alpha appears more so, often misread as theta too but is slowed alpha....love your work.

Could some cases also be narcissists as they don’t seem to care about the dreadful distress they put their families under; are they actually’feeding’ off that distress to regulate their own dysregulated emotions.

Yes, yes, yes! Modern medicine and psychiatry love looking at all the dysfunctions of the human body as separate entities. It makes no sense to treat one area without understanding the system is all interdependent. Psychiatry is SO medieval in their understanding of abnormal behavior, trying to isolate a million symptoms and give each one a "special" classification. Narcissism is expressed in many ways, but the common denominator is CONTROL! ED's ......??? 💥 They all NEED to control as much as they can, are insatiable attention whores, love creating DRAMA, hate sharing the limelight, can't be taught, believe they are more deserving than anyone else, are rude and inconsiderate, manipulative and self-absorbed, have no guilt or conscience about the burden they choose to become, are "terminal" victims, refuse to take responsibility and will blame the dog groomer or their manicurist for their "pain." In my mind, I can't tell the difference!!

Anorexia is the opposite of narcissism. It's the core belief of not being worth food or life. The emotional issues are VERY often a result of trauma. Been dealing with restrictive eating disorders for over 50 years (started in childhood with being bribed to lose weight when I wasn't fat- I don't blame my mom, but I do wonder if I'd have been so eager to restrict when I left home for college if I hadn't had the "positive" reinforcement of getting paid to lose weight at age 7). I stay reclusive so I don't burden others- and any anorexic I've spoken to has been the same way. It's a dual way of thinking- the rational mind and the negative (ED) mind- and they are always at war. It's not a choice. It's hell. But it is treatable. I'm finally getting help from someone who knows what this is all about... and it's nowhere in the US.

Blood sugar issues and high cholesterol is a consequence of this disorder (of starvation), not the cause.
@PaulHosey-u3l
@PaulHosey-u3l 3 ай бұрын
So is the third symptom of not being able to tell how drastically underweight you are. It's a symptom of starvation. Not exclusive to the eating disorder. My mother was underweight after my father didn't allow her to eat (long story) but she told me later that at the time she didn't think she looked that bad.

@@carewser Right. That's why he was hospitalized every year for 5 years when on meds. He's on no APs now and hasn't been hospitalized since weening off 14 months ago. Just L-methionine and B6 for the psychosis. Yes, everyone is different but making generalizations for the entire population is stupid.

@@jeanpaultongeren125 Walsh Institute. Not everyone can get off APs but the ortho molecular protocol has been proven in studies the reduce symptoms. Note, there are two types. Under methylated and over methylated. There's a test through Doctor's Data to determine which type.
