Such a shame the actor playing Spartacus passed. He had a great future ahead of him, and was gone way too soon. Same as the actor who played Black Panther. Irreplaceable

Reminds me of another show. "We Klingons often tout our prowess in battle, our desire for glory and honor above all else. But how hollow is the sound of victory without someone to share it with. Honor gives little comfort to a man alone in his home... and in his heart." Crixus cared for nothing but glory until he found the love of a woman.

I love Liam and the job he did in taking over the mantle of Spartacus, but I truly can only image what the final 2 seasons of Spartacus would have been like had Andy lived to fulfill his role. Andy's portrayal of a deeply pained man seeking vengeance is truly unrivaled, along with his on screen chemistry with Manu Bennet. RIP Andy, gone but never forgotten.

Incredible scene from one of the best tv shows i've ever seen, and I love watching good stuff since The Godfather, Lawrence of Arabia and everything through in movies and Breaking Bad, The Wire, Oz or The Sopranos, but Spartacus.. Belongs with the best ones imo, too good show..

If you look at past 1:55 such beautiful camera-work. The camera pans up to Crixus then cuts to a similar shot up towards Spartacus. The camera slowly starts to level with the dialog. When the two legends finally shake forearms, they are mirror greatness and equal as brothers.

People tend to take this show as some sleazy sex galore-violence porn but it had one of the best character arcs and storytelling I've seen.

This was also my first impression. I thought it was trash. Then I started to like it. Good story and a lot of great actors.

I actually think that if they'd have just toned down the violence porn, it'd have been better received without taking away from its style. I myself didn't mind, but I don't like how that style makes this show kinda unspeakable for most people, as if there was no good writing or acting going on.

@@TheStraightestWhitest Thing is, they wanted it to be comic bookish, very charicaturistic. All that violence was supposed to show us how unspeakable people were And it kinda attracted attention. Some orgy scenes were kinda unnecessary but they liked being that extreme I think. Sam Raimi, director of Spider-Man trilogy was one of the producers and I can't fathom that sometimes.

It's a prequel season, and in my opinion the second best of the entire series. Gannicus became my new Spartacus when Andy died. I liked Liam, but Andy was built different.

The greatest line of all time on the show though is “Doesn’t matter if Jupiter himself split open the heavens, and Dangled his cock from the sky.” Jupiter must have been well endowed from the way they talked about him on this show lol

Thanks, I was looking for this awesome scene. If the lead actor had not died this show would have reached legendary heights. The replacement for Spartacus did a nice job but nowhere near this guy's charisma.
