Bobby and Jeff were the two main reasons I started buying Toto records. Both of them completely blessed by God with musical talent. I remember going to see the Bulgarian Women's Choir at the Wiltern theatre in Los Angeles way back around 1988. Bobby was sitting a few seats away from me. I wanted to tell him that I consider the human voice the ultimate musical instrument and that he and Stevie Wonder were the two most amazing male vocalists to ever live, but I was too shy.

As soon as I saw him forget a single bar at at the piano, I knew what we were talking about here. Reminds me of Glen Campbell. I grew up on the sound of those guys and everything song they touched. They played on the radio.

When I lived in L.A. in the 80’s, the spud was my 2nd home …. but I had to go on a diet from those gi-normous ‘p-taters…… !! I literally could walk there, and probably should have “post”.tater 😳

I first met Bobby in 1968. We were both in Pre-dental at McNeese State. I was playing trumpet in another band and was asked to join Bobby's band, the Blues Kings. The horn section was two tenors, one bari and two trumpets. Bobby was of course phenominal on vocals and also on the B-3/ Leslie. He was also so jovial and friendly. We had band meetings at his home, so I got to know his family some. The Blues Kings were very popular, mostly because of Bobby. I am so happy that he enjoyed such a lofty place in the music of our time. I pray that he can find peace from all he has done. Dean L. Manning, DDS

so sad to learn his condition nowadays. Been a Toto-fan since I was a 8 yr old kid when I discovered Toto IV. Saw Bobby live 5 times with Toto, all great memories, especially the tours when they opened with Caught In The Balance (1999) and Falling In Between (2006)

I Lost my wife, Marilyn ,to complications of Colon Cancer, after two major operations,and traciostomies, ups and downs,searching all over the world for magic bullets, but nothing worked...After four and a half years, she just curled up in Hospice, and passed away after three days! So sad to see her go that way! Sorry we couldn't stay in touch! Hope all is well with you and your family. Be well,Stay Well, and enjoy every day. BTW, she passed September 28,2012. Such a powerful preview. I'm praying the doc gets the funding it needs, to be finalized. Bobby is such a loving, open, generous human being. Me? I'm nothing, I was just a fan who, in 2009 found his website and sent him a fan message. Don't know if others have ever done that. You usually don't hear back. In this case, Bobby and I started a 'pen pals' back and forth communication. At the end of every email, he'd write "stay in touch man". I couldn't believe a hero could be that generous with his time and friendship. God bless you Bobby.

Bobby Kimball and Jimi Jamison were at the airport and a fan came up to them saying oh my God how lucky am I to run into probably two of the best singers ever!!! Jimi says, probably? 😂 I can hear him saying it with a straight face and then laughing and cutting up with the fan. Two of THE best singers EVER!!!!❤
