Nice. I just built a uninsulated 26x32 and been looking for a heating solution as-well. Been looking at propane like yours or a mini split. I know it's only been a few months but have you seen any issues with condensation and rust on your metal tools? I def might consider this as an option. thank you. Nice barn by the way. I absolute jealous of our wood walls. They are beautifully done.

I love the walls! I have a 30x40 also. Struggle to keep it warm with a woodstove. We used a can heater to help last year, but with a small gas grill bottle it don't last long. Do you have any insulation behind your boards? I have bubble wrap. That is it.

I hope the hercules has the guide when it comes out. I see a jigsaw in the hercules coming soon section. Do you happen to know if that's the same size guide that fits circular saws? It would be great if it was, im surprised the hercules 20v circular saw didn't come with one.

For home they are fine but commercial or even doing a few driveways, these plows are weak and the hydraulics are not reliable. Like I said though, home use they are fine.

In India, the chickens are literally blow torched after the feathers are removed in the machine. This is done to ensure there aren't any fine hairs left on the skin. But, I have observed that it makes the skin loose. So, it kinda has it's cons...

My dad owned a small store and he had a similar type heater installed. When that thing lit-off, it sounded like it was going to blow up. This was late 60's early 70's.

I don't understand why you try to heat your garage with the door opened? Get a carbon monoxide detector and you will see it will never go off with that heater. Now CLOSE THE DOOR!

Also Question why did you choose to use threaded Romex ad not solid copper Romex lines as it runs hotter on full draw and has a worse resistance then pure solid copper lines?
@Littlestrawberryfox11 күн бұрын
Thanks for the vid to confirm one thing I was wanting to verify, which was what type of enclosure you where choosing to use and then wondering what gauge you where going to use for the run as i am using a 6 gauge 3 wire plus ground Romex as it was cheaper for me to get as it was precut but not sold and they wanted it cleared from inventory so i got 45 feet for 40$ and that is getting it for a song, the breaker cost more then the wire (61$) and i got a manufactured official welding extension cable, 50ft for 60$ (reg 285$) so a song for that as well. Just FYI the white wire is NOT ground it is your Common and should not be called ground even if they share a bus bar if you have a FMDP as saying ground usually indicates earth grounding. The ground line is a non shielded copper line inside the main wire body and only goes to the ground on the panel or a shared bus on a FMDP main panel. On the plug the grounding pole can be used with a ground line but it is advisable to use the white common line as it is thicker and can take more amps then the dedicated ground line. Some welders and plasma cutters have a hookup on the welder itself for a earth ground line hookup, So you have 2 hot, (or what you are calling live) and 1 common or the bare copper ground, but if you do use the white common wire which i would suggest still connect the ground line to your plug enclosure and to the ground in your panel. One small thing, if you are using a First Means Disconnect Panel (FMDP)your ground and common share a bus in this case so you could use the bare coper line to connect to the grounding pole on the welder plug, but if you use this which was not the case in this video, you can say you are using the ground wire, but if you use the wire wire you should call it the common line not the ground, and while in these cases you can use the shared bus if this is the case i would use the common line as it is thicker then the ground and then in your panel and receptacle put a green piece of tape on the common line if that's the line you choose to use and not the ground line. Thanks for the vid and keep up the good work. Take care :)

This is the video I’ve been searching for. Just built a 30x40x14 fully insulated shop. Would this particular model be sufficient for the 14’ walls? Or should I consider the next size up? Looking for real world reviews. I appreciate you making this video to share!

I do not have a ceiling yet and we have 20 degree temps and record snow right now. I live in Erie PA. Heater heats my garage in 15 to 20 mins from 30 degrees to 60 plus. Incredible heater. With a ceiling this would be even better. Hopefully I'll have my ceiling in next year. This would work great for you.

my 8750 china made pos lasted 19 years. and i got online to look for this 9000 once and found the new 13000/1000 tri fuel china made pos. so i got it instead. but i will say this about the 9000 i have 2 friends that has them. and one running a 4 ton a/c did burn his plug up on the generator. but we think it may have been because he was running his 220 stove and the a/c tried to kick on. but other than that we all love our china POS generators. and i just sold my 19 year old 8750 for 300 to my brother inlaw. i didn't want to but we lost lights for 4 days and i loaned it to him and somehow he talked me into selling it to him. i thought i made the price high enough he would say no but he paid me right then. GRRR lol.

i may have said this in one of your other videos but not sure. but in 2005 Rita came in and tore us apart here and i looked everywhere trying to fing a Generator. i drove over 200 miles in all directions looking for a good generator. and i found 3 of the 8750 in a small town about 170 miles away from me and i bought 3 of them. i said for 500 if they last 2 or 3 years i iwll be lucky. 19 years later all 3 are still running great never had any trouble out of them. well one but it was my old ladies fault. she bought E85 and put it in it. and let me tell you it don't like e85. but other than that. never had any trouble with any of them and i got online and said maybe i will get a new one as a back up. and saw they have a 13000 so i bought it. but on the 3rd of each month. because i am retired and thats when i get paid i got out and start them and let them run about 15 minutes. and hope this new cheap POS last as long as my old one does. the other 2 i have at moms and my brothers. and they still run great. and we all run our entire house except the water heaters. and now that i have this 13000 on a 50/42 amp breaker i can ever run it dont want to but i can.

my 8750 i bought in 2005 i didn't want that cheap generator. but at the time it was the only one i could get because no one had lights with in 100 miles of us. and used it right off the bat for 14 days then a couple years later i used it 18 years pretty much none stop. then in 2021 i ran it 21 days pretty much none stop and zero trouble. so they day i saw the 13000 i went and bought it. and so far zero trouble with it either. i know i will regret it but i just sold my 8750 to my brother in law. and the only reason i bought the 13000 was for the 50amp plug so i can run my water heater too if i need to. so SCREW all them high dollar generators also i bought a 8750 for my mom in 2010 and zero trouble with it either. and i am retired now so i get paid on the 3rd of every month and i go out and start it on the 3rd like you and let it run about 15 minutes also. and that's not counting the once every 2 or 3 months we lose lights for 6 to 10 hours.

can you list the exhaust parts? you mentioned they were inexpensive, but I just want to make sure I get the right parts. Do you have any recommendation on where to study up on the exhaust part, the rest seems very simple. thank you.
@TheCookFamilyHomestead16 күн бұрын
I used the following: 5 foot double walled exhaust pipe. A wall thimble. You can pick these up at most places that sell Heating and plumbing. An adjustable 90 degree 4 inch elbow that connects the 5 foot double walled exhaust pipe to the heater. An end cap. They make a couple different styles. Most will work. This one works for both vertical and horizontal exhaust. They do make them for just vertical so if you're doing a horizontal get one similar to mine. Hope that helps!

Guys stop telling her to get RID of the pan. Do you guys go around wasting good metal like that? They've got real nice pans. The eggs stuck because the pan wasnt oiled well enough before using it that pan is perfectly safe for this family to cook for themselves and their neighborhood, could use some elbow grease and some love sure. Carbon is a building block of cancer yes, but in that respect taking care of chickens is more cancerous than that pan.
@wyattschult925728 күн бұрын
I’m concerned about exhaust venting and fire hazards. Shouldn’t there be no contact to the building and a few inches of all metal spacing between the tube and wall contact?
@TheCookFamilyHomestead16 күн бұрын
Yes. That is why you would have a wall thimble like I have. It puts a space between the pipe and wall. Also make sure to use double walled 4 inch. Most Heating places have wall thimbles. They are a necessity when going through a wall.
